I got my Creader to create two more spare keys. For the price of the Creader and two h-chip keys, it was the same cost the dealership quoted me to get just one spare key made.

A good way to check if you have a repeater within range, is to select one or more of channels 1 to 8. Press for one second, and release the mic button. If there's a repeater, you will hear a click as the repeater transmits. Don't do this if you're moving, as you might move into range for a repeater. If you're static, it's how you find which is the repeater channel for your location, if you have a need to use it.
@JebbreysJibberish2 күн бұрын
You would also have to ensure you had duplex enabled on your radio before keying the repeating with your mic button. The problem with that theory is though that repeaters are much more sensitive than your radio, so it might still be picking you up and retransmitting your conversation and you cannot hear it. Which can be disruptive and annoying to anyone using the repeater. There’s plenty of channels and sub channels. Best to just avoid them for the sake of everyone else.
@epicridesandtours2 күн бұрын
@JebbreysJibberish Hence I said press for one second, and release. The idea was to check which channels have a repeater. They can get clogged, sometimes. Around Ermington, I found Channel 6/36 had what sounded like a dozen users. Ya got me with the duplex mode. I've been using CTCSS and DSC for over 20 years. It's the best thing that happened to UHF CB. I've tried explaining it to a few people, and they've all used it. Very useful, especially when some troll with a home base unit hogs the truck channel. One thing everybody seems to miss when they list the various "greet" channels is 29, which is used from Melbourne, all the way up the East Coast, to FNQ.

We use this feature at work, only our radios set too CTCSS can be heard and any out side radios we cant hear. Basicly in a nut shell you sitting on say channel 25 and set the CTCSS to (eg:) 38, any radio that is sitting on 25 and has the sub channel at 38 will be able to talk to each other with out any interference form any one else that is not using the correct CTCSS sub channel. Down side is that anyone out side of CTCSS can hear everything you say cause your still broardcasting on 25 and if you say set the CTCSS on the call channel 11, you will annoy people cause they will hear your group chatting. So dont use this feature on the dedicated channels like 11 or 40.

You hit the nail on the head with what the problem is but missed the solution. It is an installation problem. The Truma is designed for installation through a 35mm wall. Your video shows the issue. There is a small cut out in the metal plate behind the white cowl. This cutout is a locating feature. There is a corresponding tab on the manifold of the unit. The tab should protrude into the cutout. If it doesn't, then there is a gap between the manifold and the plate. this will allow exhaust gas to flow into the inlet causing the flame out. If your van is under warranty, then tell the supplier what the problem is and have them rectify it. Alternatively, you can either try and get the unit further through the wall or use high temperature silicon to make a gasket between the plate and the manifold.

Great low key review. Ive just subscribed. Looks like you are in Australia? I own a Toyota 200 series 2013 VX turbo diesel and with a problem with the FOB/door entry system (key not recognised). Key battery changed - same result. Tried a cold car reset with batter disconnected same result. My Topdon scanner suggests the Vehicle Entry System Module is faulty but cannot get sufficient detail to diagnose. I am interested in your findings as to whether the Creader actually successfully reads/programs 200 series keys???? Some of the advertising for these scanners suggests the key coding only works on pre 2010 vehicles. If it works I will definitely buy one - and like you I hate the bells and whistles.

it's madness to me that I looked all around the internet to see how much power a popular air conditioner model uses at various settings, trying to work out the minimum power consumption. Finally I found it in a youtube video. They don't seem interested in providing this kind of basic information on the spec sheets or websites. I really appreciate the work you put into making this for us all.

I’m looking forward to learning my new 200 better. Best on-road and tow vehicle I’ve ever owned, I love it, but so far for me it’s terrible on the beach. I’ve been beach driving 60/80 series and GU Patrols for decades, but my 200 just struggles. Even turning off all the bells & whistles, TRC off, trying every setting and dropping to 10psi, it just wants to belly down.

Hi Jeff, 15W-40 is Toyota reco for the ser2 w/o DPF. I use 10W-40 in my 200 as to me big issue is turbo lubrication in the 10 min before the engine is fully at temp. Turbine oils like Mobil DTE700 series for jet engines is based on Dexron3 hydraulic oil. Shell Tellus 46 Hydraulic is similar family and these are SAE5 viscosity oils. Just like the power steering is a separate pump with basically Auto Trans, Dexron3, engine turbos should have this oil also. So drive at 1500 rpm max until it's hot then turbos should live longer
@ZempireCamping3 ай бұрын
Awesome review mate! Just an FYI, our new Monstapump will be available this month (along with our new Monstabeds), this pump makes pack down even faster as it can suck all the air out on deflate mode to make rolling easier. Keep up the stellar content :) Team Zempire.

Is it common that my 2008 has oil consumption? Almost hit 5k since the last oil change, and level on the dipstick is on the first dot
@JebbreysJibberish3 ай бұрын
That’s not uncommon. It depends on where it was to start with. I generally fill to about 2/3’ds and the dipstick only reads a litre or so between full and low and there 10l of oil in there. Try going up or down with viscosity to see if it changes it. Some Of the 2007 and early 2008 did have an oil burning issue but I wouldn’t be too worried about that kind of consumption. Some people swear than a thinner oil used less and some the opposite. For me running a thicker oil reduced my consumption but I do a lot of heavy towing and live in Perth, everyone’s situation is different.
@omarkevinramos47163 ай бұрын
@@JebbreysJibberish thanks a lot. Since my next oil change is in about 1k km. I'll try 15w-40. Any brand u suggest me? In Peru we dont have penrite, best oils for diesels are mobil delvac, castrol edge and then toyota own oil. Forgot to say my car is with unichip. Is there a way I can contact u so we can talk a little bit more about cruiser?
