A couple of fun facts. The reason of why Mitsuri's uniform is so revealing is because a pervy tailor made it. That same tailor made an uniform to Kanao and Shinobu (they burnt them). Mitsuri doesn't like her uniform cause of this, so that's why Obanai give her her socks

No, Tanjiro has it too and you’ll see that in the training arc they will discuss it. It’s supposed to be a mark that when you are close to dying you will get it but only for the really strong demon slayers. Tanjiro was able to unlock it first Bc he’s like the chosen one or something and since he did it first, other hashiras can do it now. Rengoku and uzui could not because Tanjiro hadn’t gotten the mark yet

You guys missed something. That scar on Tanjiro's head has nothing to do with his powers. It's just an injury he got during the Final Selection, and it became a permanent scar. The mark only comes at very certain moments, and they will explain it later.

I just rewatched this ep with my bestie today to refresh our memory in time for the special movie screening of the last ep of season 3 and the first episode of the new season 4 we are going to see tomorrow. My bestie actually cried at Kanroji’s backstory especially the part of her having to hide her true self which she could relate to. Im so excited to see this premiere with her after convincing her for the longest what a great show this is after I got her hooked on FMA and that was her first anime series. Fingers crossed one day I can convince her to watch AOT 😅

Interestingly, most ice skates are actually not sharp the way a knife is sharp. Specialty skates like those used in speed skating are narrow blades, but skates like what you would use for recreational skating and especially those used in ice hockey are actually designed with a rectangular profile. The corners are very narrow, precise edges, but the blade profile is 90 degrees where a proper knife has a blade profile somewhere in the teens to low 20s of degrees. If a freshly sharpened ice skate hits you it is more likely to break the skin due to blunt force and basically tearing your skin rather than actually slicing you the way a knife would.

*spoilers for the episode* This might be my favourite episode of this season, although I’m extremely biased, since Mitsuri is my favourite character. Manga doesn’t do Love Breathing as much justice as the anime does. The movement and the animation are stunning and really make Mitsuri look like a fighting ballerina. Speaking of Mitsuri, her backstory may not be as sad compared to other we’ve seen in this show. But I think it’s a nice change of pace to see loving and alive parents for once. It also gives more depth into Mitsuri’s reason for joining Demon Slayers. Looking for someone to love who’ll accept her as she is? Valid and honestly the most realistic we’ve seen so far. This episode also shows why Mitsuri is a Hashira. She’s been fighting non-stop since arriving to the village (she still had to get rid of the fish demons) and is still able to keep up with the strongest form of Upper Four, to the point where he has to WAIT for her to lose stamina because he can’t defeat her. Amazing. End note: L for the guy who rejected Mitsuri, while looking like the biggest NPC ever.

It is crazy to see a non-tragic backstory in this show for a change. Mitsuri's past has nothing to do with demons, and her family is still around and caring for her. And I don't think that makes her any less of a compelling character. Edit: Rengoku's wasn't really that tragic, either, at least by comparison. His family had been Demon Slayer Corps for generations, and he lost his mom to illness at a young age, which drove his father into an alcoholic stupor. Unfortunate, sure, but still not as bad as most everyone else in the series. 😬

His dad DID become an angry, abusive alcoholic who hates himself, too. That's extremely tough to deal with growing up. 😢 How could your father love you if he doesn't even love himself? In fact, he actively hates himself to the point where he self-medicates and self-harms with alcohol. After Rengoku's last words are delivered, we seem to see a turning/breaking point for his father, and he finally seems to allow himself to feel rather than numb out with alcohol because he ran out just after the kind words are delivered. Alcoholism is no joke.

Inoske has a sense of touch so in tune with nature that he can sense where people are through vibrations on his skin, he does this a few times. Which means Kanao has something to do with her eyes, but i don't think we've seen anything she's done with them yet?

After this zenitsu is shown to have amazing hearing... If you also paid attention, inosuke is shown to have an insanely sensitive body to the point that his awareness is not hindered by the mask... So...genya here is the representation of the sense of taste...he has a very adaptive digestive system... Lastly tanjiro noted something about kanao's eyes being special....go figure In conclusion Tanjiro - smell Zenitsu - hearing Inosuke - touch Genya - taste Kanao - sight Basically the five senses dum dums

They've explained several times that they have trouble with reading subtitles and watching what is happening in the same time. It's not a rare issue. As someone with ADHD, I'm also often struggling with brain-multitasking actions. But also, even if I agree that most of the times, the VO is more enjoyable than dub, I must say that some dubs are really great, and this one is. Very similar to Yuri on Ice english dub, I honestly think they did a great job. Mind you, I even found an anime I enjoy more in my native dub (french) than the japanese VO : Jigoku Shoujo. The french dub gives the main girl a soft and soothing voice that's SO PERFECTLY uneasy with the content of the show, while the Japanese voice is... just well... a normal voice. I really love it so much better in French. But hey. Everyone has preferences or issues with different things.
