I know the tank has been customised, a period modification at the end of the day, and looks in keeping, I also like the patina of the whole bike as this cannot be replicated. The work you have done on her is tasteful and not over done. Thanks

Nice job of keeping it's patina alive, bikes like this are much more interesting than total restorations. To me anyway, very nice video Mike. Keep up the great work.

I wasn't sure about the design of the paintwork initially Mike, but I've grown to like it now !.. It's pretty distinctive so I wonder if anyone watching recognises it ? - The Quickly Detachable (QD) headlight plug is usually a Gold Star item, I'm pretty sure it wasn't fitted on UK market Super Rockets.. Though, like those wide handlebars, it may have been standard on US spec Super Rockets ?.. After a long search I've just managed to get my hands on a genuine, 'numbers matching' Rocket Gold Star, I know that the RGS was delivered in two different specifications for the US market - East Coast and West Coast - but I don't know if that is the same for Super Rockets.. However, late model Super Rockets like yours (1962-63) had identical engines to the RGS, so if you're really lucky yours just might have the 'Big Valve' head !..

Hi I am Marian and we here in Groningen ( Netherlands) ride together for 47 years motor... Cees my husband ride 52 years and we have now the Triumph Rocket 3r...3 years old and nearly 50.000 kilometers... We go about 3 weeks to luxemburg.. 🤗

All the bits came together nicely and looking great. The headlight assembly impressed me with all the features. I’m wondering if handlebar weights might be a good addition to the cow horn bars when she’s back on the road?
