Mate, you have not any air leak. With decat you run with poor fuel. That's why you have back fire when you release the throttle. You need an ecu remmap to have the right air/fuel ratio, so the bike will run properly and get the benefit of the decat pipe.

Hi Gonzo, Can you please tell me what kind of baffle did you get to make the sound a bit less noisy ? I've install the MIVV link pipes but it is a bit to loud for me and looking for some solution to make it just a bit less noisy. Cheers!

When you fitted the system, did you fit the link pipe first and THEN the header pipe or the other way round? Thanks 🙏🏻

Can’t wait to hear how things go with the baffle installed. I’m super close to pulling the trigger on a link pipe for my Multi and keep the stock muffler but I assume it’ll require the baffle in order to avoid too much police attention and anger neighbors.

Did you notice a more pronounced "ticking" sound after installing yours? I'm assuming there's little exhaust leaks at the joints. The ticking is kind of high frequency, so between microphone quality, speaker playback quality, and KZbin compression, I think some things get lost, but yours sounds exactly like mine.

After my multistrata 950 installed this link pipe, the engine fault light came on. I would like to ask if you also encounter this problem and how do you solve it?

No, mine never did. But my friend did his and his fault light came on too. He used a different brand link pipe that didn't have the proper termination for the baffle control cable. It caused the bike to think that the baffle was not opening and closing. You can get a kit that bypasses it though. He got it and the fault went away.

You need to install a valve servo eliminator. I had the error too after starting up the bike a couple of time. Once its installed you need to start and turn off the bike 3-4 times for the error to clear up

In my country manufacturers can't deny warranty unless they can prove what you did affected the part that failed. So let's say I have a braking issue. They would still have to warranty the repair.

I still haven't installed the baffle yet. I've actually gotten used to the volume so I think I may just, wait till the off season to install AR this point. 🤣
