Hey Miwa, have you maybe thought about a seasonal E-cookbook? Where there's one chapter for each season or something? I think it might be a nice addition to the others.

I absolutely love what you have created for you and your children! I am so inspired. My only concern is that due to dietary requirements are most of the ingredients ok to have for example miso, sugar, soy sauce etc.

I tried natto again after your suggestion to try not stirring it, and success! I've had it 3x now, and am starting to crave it for some reason. Thank you for the suggestion!

I'm always happy when fresh corn is in season again. I love eating asparagus grilled or blanched with an egg yolk sauce. I do put the tofu in the microwave as it is quicker to prepare, but I like it more if I slowly press the water out with a chopping board or something. I think the texture of the tofu is better that way. Still usually microwave it is hahaha. The tofu looks so tatsty! I think my daughter will love it with just a little bit less sauce. She doesn't have a problem with tofu, it's one of her favourite even but hates sauces.

A lot better than restaurant food where my mom went to Japan in a recent year. My mom says restaurant food in Japan are so-so and very expensive.

I never thought of leaving the husk on the corn. Typically, I take all of the husk off and steam it. I'm going to try the way you did it to see if the flavor is different.

If you freeze the tofu overnight, it is nicer. learned from a vegan chef.. also torn gives a nice texture if you are doing it in a sauce.

I don't know why you japanese add so many ingredients, like you can't eat anything without sauce or other flavor. You mention your kids don't eat raw veggies, why is that? In my family we grow our food, our favorite summer dish was tomatoes, cucumbers and cheese. Only salt added, not even mixed. Why all those preparations since salad tastes great as a salad?
