I’ve never been able to get on the wide body channel bandwagon. My “go to” is the Moerman Liquidator channels, otherwise I like the Ettore brass channels. I primarily service residential, and usually carry a 6” and 14”, and an 18” if they have larger windows. Good video, thought provoking for us window cleaning geeks 😅

It’s clear you don’t know what the Sorbo slot feature is for? it’s not just to move the blade up a notch for better blade positions. It’s actually for the Sorbo Docket blade cutter. You trim the rubber move it up a notch for a new edge . It’s actually genius. I’ve used Sorbo’s for nearly 30 years. The rubber quality is actually from a similar rubber compound as the Ettore, it’s not inferior to the Ettore. They actually even smell the same. I use both, and the characteristics are nearly identical. Both companies are the best in the industry in my opinion. I use Ettore and Sorbo. I’m currently modifying my Moerman equipment for real world use, liquidator 2.0-3.0 . (Needed trimming on edges. Anyhow good videos man, keep up the good work Dave “The window ninja” 🥷

We couldn't get sorbo rubber for over a year and those who couldn't find rubber had to change to something else. The rubber is available now here in New Zealand. So, yes you are right.

I don't buy sorbo rubbers anymore but the ninja channel has a very similar feature but with only 2 available positions. In over a decade of windows cleaning I've used that second rubber slot maybe 3 times. It works for getting a flat or almost backwards angle to the glass or poling all the way to the ground I guess. However a 0 degree handle is a better way to do that anyway and no one uses the sorbo rubber cutting docket either. These days I mostly use a ninja channel with the gray plastic ends removed and modified to accommodate brass clips and I like it better than sorbo anyway. Well, that or brass or liquidador. There is also channel called "Light-rail" which is very similar to sorbo design but uses round rubber. It's decent but only available from one supplier as far as I know. And yeah a titanium channel would be amazing!

Where can I find these “light rail” channel? I’ve switched to Ettore Super Channel. And yes a Zero Degree is always the answer hahaha
The ninja channels suck, bad angle, ends are way too bulky, bad blade positon ( mainly because Unger rubbers are shorter!) Sorbo is the only wide body channel that works great all the time, end of story…
