The second operation of our Miniatur-Wunderland fire fighters leads towards a brush fire next to a highway near Las Vegas. Before it grows to a big wild fire the forces have to react fast and effective.
Der zweite Einsatz unserer Miniatur-Wunderland Feuerwehr führt uns zu einem Buschbrand auf einem Highway nahe Las Vegas. Bevor er zu einem ausgewachsenen Waldbrand heranwächst, muss die Feuerwehr schnell reagieren.

Ich fände es wahnsinnig cool, wenn es neben den Feuerwehreinsätzen in den USA auch typische US-Polizei Verfolgungsjagden im Car System geben würde. An der Stelle wo die Feuerwehrautos auf der Highway über den Mittelstreifen die Spur wechseln, könnte auch bei der Verfolgung etwas Spannendes passieren (z.B. Fluchtwagen dreht um und fährt auf die andere Fahrbahn). Wäre sicherlich etwas aufwändig das zu programmieren und mit Fahrzeugen zu belegen (die US-Polizei MB Sprinter von euch würden meiner Meinung nach eher nicht in die Verfolgung passen) aber es würde sicherlich klasse aussehen und eine neue Attraktion bieten. Habe diese Idee bereits in einem Brief Frederik und Gerrit erläutert (dürfte bald ankommen :D).

amazing, as always. fyi all interstate highways in the us are fully divided highways. a U-turn cannot be made, except at specified, widely spaced crossovers for emergency vehicles. also, there are only exits numbered to 122 on I15 in Nevada.

apart from that it's just a model railroad where you can combine pretty much anything you like, it would be realistic to see units from e.g. NYC in LV in case of big, really big, events (e.g. during hurrcane Sandy there were command trucks from e.g. Forth Worth and San Francisco in NYC)

( okay, wer von euch hört Ami-Funk/ schaut Notruf California ? :D ) Ich finde die Modelle von den Engines und Ladders echt klasse gebaut - zumal kommen in NY jetzt Ferrara und Marauder ( von Seagrave ) zum Einsatz, und es ist toll die alten Fahrzeuge wieder zu sehen.

schon lustig wie die Fahrzeuge des FDNY in Las Vegas ausrücken, ja gut klar ist halt die künstlerische Freiheit. Zwar bei einem so 'normalen' Einsatz wie Waldbränden kommts zwar nicht vor, aber von der Sache her ist es im Großschadensfall nicht unrealistisch dass die eine solche Entfernung fahren würden.

how do you control the vehicles,are they programed ?

+DJ_URBAN_BG Yes, the vehicles have an electric motor inside and their tasks are programmed. Also there are sensors in the street and the car so the programm knows where the car is. All the cars automatically drive into a charge-station when their battery is low.
