MIX & MATCH hair for a VA-VA-VOOM look! (Synthetic + Human Hair Combo)

I wanted a big, voluminous look for a few weddings I was attending, but couldn't make it work with my every day hair topper. So I combined my Jon Renau Top Wave synthetic hair topper (I said Top Secret, which was incorrect...but if you want to see my video on Top Secret you can do so here: • Top Style (was Top Sec... ) with my Tressmerize human hair clip-in extensions.
The look was EXACTLY what I was going for and I loved it so much that I sometimes wear it just because.

My hair actually looks pretty good in this video before I put on my hair topper...but don't let the camera fool you. :) My hair is thinning terribly on top and I think the camera was pretty forgiving in this video!

This is what I actually did for a cousin's wedding over a year ago. But my topper was straight...actually damaged kinda because I curled it and it's synthetic (yah I know🤦🏻‍♀️). Thankfully, my topper and (curled) synthetic extensions were close enough in color so they went well together. I had to do a half-pony type hairstyle so I can hide the (damaged) edges of the topper. Same procedure as you did and nobody can tell! ❤️😊

Now I don't have enough hair to hold either ext or a topper but when I did try a topper, the clips caused me discomfort & after only a few wears left bald spots where they dug into my scalp. 🙁😢😢 Hope that doesn't happen to you but it's something to be aware of. 💕

I am subscribing! This looks gorgeus! I only have one question, your bio hair looks a little darker than your 10h16 topper and it blends perfectly. I have a little shorter medium brown hair and a lot of grays so do you think that those two would blend well together? I want to buy that shade but I am not sure how it would look especially with my shorter hair. Will the topper hide my shorter hair?

It's on the ashier side when comparing it to something warm, yep. Sometimes, I do use a bit of dry shampoo in the beginning.

Maybe! My hair has never ":hung" correctly hence why I've always done the ear tuck. I could show you, but you'd just see a bunch of hair hanging in my face....which isn't indicative of helper hair...it's just me!

Great idea Lauren. Only wish I had as much confidence as you to wear a topper. Just a tip about pronouncing Tres Chic....I'm no expert in the French language but I know that you don't pronounce the "s" at the end of the word "Tres". It's pronounced more like the English word "tray". :) thanks for all the great info.

You can have the confidence, just gotta work towards it! And about the pronunciation..it's actually TressChic, not "tres". That's their branding. I can say this with confidence because I actually speak french. ;)
