I used the mix setting to weld 1.6mm aluminium perforated sheet to 6mm aluminium equal angle and it helped to make it much easier to weld. Using the factory recommended settings

I was 100% wondering about the turntable! I have never tig welded but im interested to the point of researching welders which brought me to this vid. Everyone is too busy to make the things i want so why not learn a new skill.

Hey Ben, This is a welding positioner that I have stripped down and fitted to my welding table. Super simple and works perfectly for the things I make! TIG welding is a lot of fun and there are some pretty great (cheap) machines these days, spend your time over on @weldingtipsandtricks and you will find all the answers to your questions. You should try really up the positive balance and but have a higher dc ratio. On my Fronius I can change the amps . So if you run high positive pulse amps but more negative balance . It keeps a tapered tungsten

Correct, it is much more successful when it's used as intended with higher DC ratio. But this was just more of an experiment rather than it's actual use of thick to thin material.

If you tack them right, and weld with square wave, you don't need filler wire
