Jeff Loomis is one of the best of all time. His rhythms, his leads, his clean playing, his compositions are all top quality. He can do it all.

Jeff's arpeggio licks like this and Born are insane. I fell in love with Born because of how Warrel's vocal line in the chorus was simplistic, and Jeff's licks were complex but they just go together perfectly. Genius song-writing.

Purchased most of the NeuralDSP amp sims, including pretty much all of the archetype amps, and I just downloaded this gem about 30 mins ago... after about 10 minutes of messing around I already feel more confident in the sound I'm getting vs the NeuralDSP stuff, which is REALLY saying something because NeuralDSP is fantastic... This amp sim is just so versatile and sounds so clean and crisp and amazing... I'm honestly blown away and absolutely thrilled! Can't wait to start writing with this! Seriously, THANK YOU FOR THIS AMP SIM!!

Even Jeff was like yeah, I kicked some ass on that lead, didn’t I? Wow, I’m incredible like that sometimes, man. Not all the time, I’ll have a little pick scrape or be holding back a sneeze and keep the take, but that time I was soooo perfect dude. You didn’t know I was that perfect, did you? (These are how many thoughts go through Jeff’s mind in a single second. You only see a smirk because if he spoke his mind, it would sound like an auctioneer or that Micro Machines guy).

I was using Toontrack Superior 2.0. It's actually a crazy hodgepodge of several different EZX expansions I had previously put together over time and refined to my liking-a kick from Made of Metal, a snare from Metal!, toms from Metal Machine, most cymbals from Metal Machine, and I believe a ride and splash from Progressive. It's all mixed down entirely in the plug-in UI, and it's more or less my go-to kit for demoing and writing metal. Unfortunately, you'd have to own all of those libraries to create this exact sound, so it's not as simple as buying just one thing.
