Thank you for sharing this, I never knew about these auto-riggers until today. I have so many models I have purchased, but most of them don't have a proper rigging, I was impressed how well the fingers were done up on the AccuRig app.

ARP Quick Rig actually has a "Character Creator Accurig" preset in the newest version of the plugin. I believe the bone naming conventions are slightly different.

That is correct. It’s been there for about 2 years. This was more options to rig a character outside of blender for the general audience

@@Markom3D hay bud, is there a quick version similar to accurig or mixamo that does boobs and perhaps butt,? i know you can add it in blender but i am not as good with that software. i can get a perfect preset rig for woman, from vroid using vrm characters, but even if i convert a fbx to vrm but it doesn't convert the armature bone rig, so you loose the bones needed which limits to vrm only characters which are more anime looking if you want to animate it more accurately. thanks

You have a lot of notoriety. Can you do it quick piece on this like? Maybe just an informative thing telling people in one of your videos that I fixed them mixamo add-on for a blender 4.0.... didn't know when they were gonna update it. So I fixed it and posted it on my channel. It's in my Fast Animation Studio Toolz folder.... The link is under the appropriately named video all ready to install...That way people If people are struggling and like needing it for their jobs or their professions.... They could find it....

If you did not use the quick rig preset you could have given the ARP metarig more neck bones at the start

But you have to buy autorig pro to generate a rig in blender, because you can't generate a rig from those bones with riggify, am I wrong? I tried it with both, acurigg and mixamo and I can't. So if you want a rigged character for free the best option is to use the free rigg from blender, rigify. If you want to use premade animations, mixamo is free and have a big library, acurigg library (ActorCore) is bigger but is paid, ranging from 1.50 to 4.50. I still prefer blender+mixamo, or just blender rigiffy.

Can retargeting be done from accurig characters the same way as mixamo

in external applications it can be done, but not with accurig unless you are using their animations

Does Acrurig have pre-done motion capture? I like mixamo because it has a load of presets.

Depending on what tool you are using, you can still use the mixamo ones.

I'm sure the tool is great, I haven't tried it yet. It seems I'm the only one being sceptic about tools like this being "free". Noone does things for free. So what do the company behind it get from it? What data are we giving them? I always get blasted from people in the comments section from saying things like this so.... Brace for impact I guess...

Good question. I think it is more to get reallusion in front of more eyes, and also, you are using their rig, which is compatible with more of their assets and applications.
