Great video, thank you. I personally think that on most tracks it adds a realistic amount of saturation at around -7db or so. I also have done many test readings on the output (compared to the bypassed output) and the linked dials generally are adding about 1db. So I find that the input on -7db and the output on +6db hits my Slate FG-X without any added boost. Thoughts?

That's right, which is still pretty hard to determine and feed it back into the computer. I say crank it, feel the crunch, enjoy the crunch, and determine whether you want the crunch to go away or if you just want it to be more subtle, if you want it to go away, turn the vst off. if you want it to stay on, just adjust the crunch to a nice level, cause that's the whole point of tape saturation, it's so rich and good for all things acoustically.
