I'm so glad you posted this! I had some weird missing text in a few settings (I had already made my own prefs and saved them). Turns out my prefs file was from a previous version of Cubase and was missing a ton of stuff!

I wish we can enlarge fonts or texts. Words on the inspector tab and other places are so small in Cubase 14. Everything was easy on the eyes in the previous versions up to Cubase 12. Starting with Cubase 13 and through 14, font sizes have been so inconsistent.

Hi chris, thanks always for all you do. ive got a different problem hoping you've got an idea resolving it. somehow I've got this issue within my variaudio since moving over from 13pro to 14. whenever i hit the spacebar my events seem to play only in audition mode, how do i change this.. i have checked macro to see if within the editor window spacebar is set for audition mode but it isn't.. any idea on how to deactivate this please? seems to be slowing down my work flow.

Awesome help, Chris. I immediately made the Loop Cycle pref change--I can't tell you how many thousands of times I mistakenly enabled loop when I moved the cursor too high up and clicked. Maddening! I also just saved my preferences on your suggestion. Thanks Chris!

Every time I watch one of your video, I make all the change you suggest, works for me, I agree with everything you say. I'm using Cubase Pro 13, I haven't updated to the 14 version, don't plan to do so, taking a break , and love the 13 version...without licencer key....))) Many thanks for your tips and tutoriels. Nice one, MCC leader! Most of them I had already done from Cubase 10 or 11, which further highlights your emphasis on saving your settings as a preset. I did go back in after your video, though, and adjusted the meter colours and thresholds. Thanks, Chris!

that some great tips Chris, thank you, i think i changed all of them too I think always when a new cubase version gets released, they change something in the user-interface that i really dislike, lol, so the first thing i do is to go into the preferences, try to locate this new setting and change to the behaviour of the previews cubase version that i´m used too work with 😅

Many thanks, I see you also have the "Meter's Peak Hold Time" set to 500 ms instead of the 3000 ms, I've tried both and can't see any difference? (probably my eyes lol)

Dude, as always great video! Question, did you do this on cubase 14? I went to: (\Event Displays -> Audio) but the "event volume curve and fades" does not show up on my cubase 13. It actually shows nothing underneath "Background Color Modulation". Any other way this can be done in 13 or this is completely new in 14? Thanks in advance!

Great video! I will definitely be using some of these tips! Is there a way to set up cubase to empty the trash of audio files automatically or with a key command? When I am tracking guitars I make mistakes and I will re take the track to clean it up, I prefer doing this over editing, my problem is it fills up the drive with all the takes. I try to remember to clean up the pool before I save and close but sometimes I forget and then there gets to be so much extra that it clogs up the drive space. TIA

I've never been able to get any sound from Cubase, doesn't matter what ASIO driver I choose, nada. I don't plug instruments in, I just import audio. Why is there never any sound when I press the play button on the detached bar at the bottom?

Hello there. Cubase user! I have a single fader x one touch. This fader works perfectly at 8 first channels, when I check on cubase 9 channel fader doesn't work... If I change the next bank on fader, works perfectly again for 8 next channel's. Every time i do this, again and again.🤮🤮 Can you tell me a solution for that?
