I also added shrubs to my perennial beds for added interest and keeping maintenance down. When I used only perennials, my garden looked very messy. Love the mixed look👍

What type of shrubs did you add? Evergreens? Or just flowering shrubs? I mean it sounds like your shrubs are perennials too

Jimmy is telling some truth about how much work it takes. Annuals will help fill in some color in colorless areas

I hate seeing butchered crepe myrtles as well! I don't own one yet but plan to change that this year.
