I don't know thing one about golf clubs, but that was an easy question just by logical deduction... if your ball went into the sand, you gotta get it up and out of there. Paragraph 3, below, has quirky, interesting, fun stuff about "Galligaskins" the 3rd option on the Gulliver's Travels question... I've never seen any more than a slight reference to this story except in a half-our children's show ages ago. I knew by the way they were asking the question about Gulliver's Travels, that the answer was NOT Lilliput. Glubdubdrib just had the same rhythm of the story and the characters. So my guess was right, there. The 2nd aswer was too hard to pronounce and people would not remember it, so that's not good for a book that you want to become a classic, and... (fun stuff cometh..) ... Gallagaskins are something that used to be a type of hose for men that eventually came to be joined together in something like pantyhose called tights, because of the thing called trunk hose, which were worn over the two hoses that hid the leather strap that was basically a garter belt to hold them up... BTW drawers are called that because they were at one time two part leggings that had strings on them that were tied around each side of the waist, so, they of course were drawn together due to placement, thus called draw-ers. Women and men wore them; they had a very low crotch so the men's dangly bits did not become exposed. They became attached later on as well, thus men's drawers are still called drawers because womens' became panties - which is very very very short for "pantaloons", which, Once upon a time, used to be men's. It came to be that they were named after a character named Pantalone in an old comedy operetta. Ain't that a gas!?!
