Mixed Media Collage Memories of Mum and Dad

Welcome back to my channel.
Todays Mixed Media collage is for my mum and dad. Today is Mothers day in the UK and also Fathers day here in Portugal and they are both celebrating it in heaven, so what a perfect combination to do a wonderful collage for them both.
I did a class with the lovely @LalyMilleArts it was so much fun. So today I thought would use some of the things that I have learnt.

Gi, hi😂. I've spent the weekend with you learning about working with resin and, as such, feel like we're old friends. It's very brave of you to do a piece dedicated to your mom and dad so soon after your mom's passing... and on camera, no less! Sending hugs and love. It will gradually get easier. It’s so good you can create. Beauty helps. After my Dad died, I grew pansies in pots on my balcony. They multiplied. Lol. I made about 10 flower presses. I ended up with about a million dried pansies. My Dad was a gardener. It helped me so much. I’m praying for you. I keep watching this video over and over. It turned out so beautiful. And the little tiny white dots that you added and the music paper you added at the end and the dark border around the whole thing really Set It Off beautifully. Gi, this is such a beautiful tribute to your parents. I'm so happy to see that you are feeling like doing some art--I truly believe it will help you heal--I know it helped me get through the worst parts of my grief. ❤ I have been following Laly for years and I absolutely love her style. She was a guest host in a12 month, online mixed media course that I took last year called Wanderlust '22, presented by Everything Art. Just lovely! I can see you working with weddings and I am certain that your weddings were impeccably prepared. If you have photos of any, I for one would love to see them. I know others would too. This thing you're going through has happened to everyone for a million years, losing one's mother, yet, it's only once per person. The reason for that is because we can only take it once. Time will help. 💕

Gi that was the most wonderful 40 minutes spent watching you put this beautiful tribute to your mum and dad together. Just beautiful and I’m sure they are looking down loving what you’ve done. I would love to try and create something like this for my own parents. They would both be 98 this year if they were still with me. I lost mum when I was 24 and dad when I was 34 (I’m 62 now), but still miss them terribly. Much love send to you Gi. Cathy xxx
