Good morning, Gayle! Every time I see you doing Momagami it reminds me of my 12 year old granddaughter walking into my house while I was massaging lotion into pieces of scrapbook paper. She asked me "What kind of menace to society are you, Nana??" It's too bad I am retired now ... I'd love to add "Menace to Society" to my resume!

Hey, thanks Gayle. Got to learn a new technique and a bit more about you. Next time my hands are suffering from extreme dryness, I will try this out on a bunch of papers. Won’t be long as winter is setting in soon and that is the time my hands are the worst. It sounds like you have really had a wonderful life of blessings. Congrats on such a great family who supports you. Yes, creativity should be added to that list! I just wish more people would be able to understand the importance of being able to foster your creativity. I wish I had realized this at a much younger age, but, it is never too late to start.

I loved hearing about your family. I watch or at least listen to you everyday, twice on Monday if there is a video😊. I knew about your family but it’s nice to hear again😊. When you stopped doing Etsy shares I thought wow someone really messed up. The only reason I buy from Etsy was because I saw them on your channel. To quote from a movie, big mistake, huge. I have to go shopping now 🤣.

Hi Gayle! What a wonderful video today! I have been following you since 2018 when I stumbled into journal making and through the years I have heard bits and pieces of your life (which is similar to mine in many ways… 4 children-I have 3 boys and 1 girl- 5 grandchildren (4 granddaughters and 1 grandson)) but this is the first time I heard everything put together in one whole piece like this. I just turned 70 a few weeks ago (😱How did that happen?😂) and Joe and I will be married 50 years in June (😮 How did that happen? 😂). All this to say that I enjoy learning from you and listening to you as we craft and relating to so many of your stories about your children, the fun we’re lucky enough to enjoy in retirement and running around with our grandchildren (we have the younger ones after school several days a week and take them back and forth to their various after school activities, etc. which we love!❤), and just dealing with everyday life. I commiserated with you with all the construction stories you went through this year. My husband is a retired electrician who is also extremely handy with all sorts of construction so I am lucky with the money that can save us, the downside is that he likes to start a zillion projects and then I have to wait a while for the “non-essential” ones to be completed!😂 Gotta love him!I enjoyed watching the Momagami ; I missed about a month of videos during the summer and I didn’t see you do this so now I can see the process and will go back and see the older videos. Anyway, thank you for being the special lady you are! Never change!❤

Good morning! Nice chatty video today!😊 Love the prospective journals you described. 🥰 Here's a tip for you - cut the bottom third of the tube after you think you've squeezed all the product out. You'll be surprised at how much still remains. Clean out the bottom third and then you can use that to 'cap' the rest of the tube. 😁💕

Gayle, this has to be one of my favourite videos that I've seen you do. I am fairly new to momagami and what I have seen was smaller pieces used for ephemera, so this was an exciting idea. I loved hearing your little stories and personal bits, although much of it I have heard before. My biggest moment was when you talked about Jimmy Joe. I was almost in tears with you and it was so great to hear about his new family - like he just moved across town with a cousin. Blessings to you and Mike.

Watching and listening. We’re the same age and everything you mentioned (sewing, crocheting, embroidery) is where I started. My grandmother used to say, “idle hands, idle mind”. It was hard for me to sit, I always needed something to do. There were years I would get up early, just to sit and knit in silence. Now mixed media junk journals have taken over. Still get requests for handmade cards (in digital vintage style). I always look forward to seeing what you’re making. Thanks for taking us along and inspiring ideas.

I have made momagami paper for halloween! I make my grand children small journals, more like autumn and used momagami paper. As I recall, you made a wedding dress on the sewing machine! You didn't mention it. I think that is super wonderful! My first sewing project was a satin quilted bathrobe for my 3 year old son and husband! My mother did mention I might have chosen an easier first projecct! But i remember it fondly, of her and my husband and son. My daughter was "donated" the bathrobe when my son outgrew it! Sweet! Thanks for reminding me of that memnory.

One day I will give momagami a try. I think it will be fun and watching you do it is relaxing. Is that weird? LOL! As for printers, I use an HP printer and love it. I just apply for the ink replacement program they have. I always receive the replacement ink before I run out on my printer. It's so convenient. And you can decide, by determining how much you print, which subscription to use. I print a lot so this works really well for me. Just throwing out another idea for printing. 🙂

Hello, friend❣️ Love the momagami! I bet your craft room smells really good after using that nice lotion from Joey. I wonder what coffee dyed paper would be like from momagami? I was into card making when you popped up in my recommendations. I thought I would see what you were doing and the rest is history. You hooked me and I thank you for it because I love making journals! You are the one that convinced me I could. That first happy mail I sent you I was so scared you wouldn’t like anything I made. But you overwhelmed me with your kindness and the way you were so happy with it all. I never dreamed I was any good at it. So my friend you are the reason I think I can! 🥰🦋. Ok on a different note. I had a thought that might help with the questions asked over and over. I’m not by any means good with computers and my knowledge is mainly old knowledge but here goes. Whatever app you have on your computer where you can write letters or notes I would write out the answers to all those questions you are asked then when they are asked you could go in and copy and paste. I don’t know it might be more of a hassle to go out of you tube and copy and then go back into you tube and paste. So maybe not. Just a thought 🤔.

Watching someone do momagami is almost as relaxing as doing it myself. I have never done it with new papers, only magazine pages or glossy book pages. By the time I have created a fabric-like texture, you can’t really tell how the original piece looked. I think I am going to try your way. It is faster and keeps more of the original look. I love videos where we learn something about a crafters/artists methods, practices and tools. Thanks a bunch for sharing with us! 😊

Hi Gayle. I watched this last Monday but it has taken me a week to comment. I’ve been helping my daughter with my 4 beautiful grandchildren as she is almost due with number five. Every time you speak of Jimmy Joe it resonates so deeply with me. I get emotional every time. In March this year my husband found a dog for me. A German Shorthaired Pointer whom I named Stormie. She was supposed to keep me company when he returned to work after caring for me after a medical incident left me Legally Blind. She is beautiful and .I loved her but she was too bouncy and unpredictable for me to cope with. We too had to make that decision to give her a better life. On Mother’s Day she went with us to my daughters and walked in as if she owned their place, settled in with the kids and is still there 6 months later. I miss her terribly but I get to see her fairly often. I understand your emotions my friend. We have to do what is best for us all. Thank you Gayle for reminding me of this. 🌻

Mornin' Gayle. I learned a lot about you today...((hugs)) my dear. We are close in age, close in number of grandkids (I have step-children and step grandkids and step great grandkids that I count included in that because we are just one big family.) Similar background in sewing, embroidery, painting and various other areas of interest I learned in junior high art class and Home Ec with a mom that taught me things like knitting and crocheting etc. You inspired an idea for making momigamie (sp?) So now I want to drag out that stuff but keep telling myself to stay focused on my Christmas journal. It's hard not to do a thing when the idea hits you...but I'm trying 😁. TFS it was nice to get to know you. Hope you have a great day. 🌞

I know what you are saying about all the things that you like to do. I have so many things that I love to do . Quilting, painting and now I’m taking up your world of Junk Journaling. I’ve done many things in my life just like you. I admire you for being there for all of us. I have four children like you, all boys. My oldest son is 62. And I’m 82. So I have done so much in my life. I’ve been married for 61 yrs, and yes there have been many rough spots. I hope that I can learn as much as I can from you. I live in New Hampshire all my life. That’s who I am

It was so nice to hang out with you this morning...It was an interesting chat and I could relate to much of it. I have been with you since the beginning (2016) and can't imagine saying goodbye to you. I know I would have many videos to watch, but it would not be the same. So, I am happy to hear that you have no plans to retire from retirement (LOL) any time soon. I hope you enjoyed lunch with Kelly and could hold on to your fork with your lotioned up hands (LOL) Love you Gayle!

Love you back, my friend! So fun to hear you’ve been here from the beginning! You probably know WAY too much about me from being with me all these years! 😂. Lunch turned out great and I didn’t drop my fork once! 😂❤

❤❤❤ looking after our creative self ❤❤❤ definitely agree with you. It is something that I find greatly misunderstood and unappreciated. So many people believe they are not creative, but their creativity is in a different way. Cooking (thinking of Mike), gardening, auto mechanics, architects, lawyers... every field involves creative aspects. It is something I feel very strongly about. ❤ Belinda xxx

What fun! Love the craft and chat videos! And, I do hope you consider me a friend. Yours are the only videos I consider a must watch and I am one of the early bird viewers, usually between 4 and 6 central time. The only thing I don’t think you mentioned is your merch. And, I am going to try momagami soon. 😊
