Watching you work is always so interesting and informative. I started this journaling journey standing in maybe a five foot square, and you have pushed my borders back to pretty much encompass the world. There is never a "last thing" to learn. I feel like an old dog who is getting younger by actually learning new things every day. Thank you for keeping creativity exciting and challenging.

Hi Miss Gayle!! Wow talk about a crazy fun video...I have so many paints and they have just been sitting my art drawer...I think it's time to get those bad boys out and have me a little messy fun!! I was watching this at first and thinking this is the first time I've ever seen Gayle without her engagement ring or the band on your pointer finger, lol Thanks so much for sharing your fun play day with us and as always giving us inspiration🧵🎨 Sending you hugs from Kentucky💙

I loved this video so very much. Jeff was looking at face book while it was on and he kept commenting on what you were doing so I think he liked it too! First I love seeing the child like love of artistic play come out in you. I can just feel your happy! And then I just kept telling Jeff she is going to do this or that and then you would. For instance when you brought out the Saran Wrap, I knew you were going to wad it up and pat it in the paint and then on the paper. I use to do that on wood pieces I made back in the 90’s. When you were deciding what color to use on a paper and you didn’t want to do gold again. And I said try orange Gayle and you did. We are just so much alike! This video also made me remember the crafting things I did in the 90’s and it can transfer to what I do now. I know I’m talking a lot but I really loved this video it was fun!

This is so much fun! I was watching a New Zealand artist, FroyleArt, the other day. She had some practically empty small paint bottles and she added a few sprays of water to them, covered, shook, and then put here and there on tissue paper that was already wrinkled. Several colors, then sprayed with water to encourage the paint to move. They turned out gorgeous! Thought I’d tell you in case you ever want to experiment doing this.

How fun! I’m saving this to have myself a “mixed media Wednesday” this week as we are expected to get a foot of snow here in West Central Illinois starting Tuesday late afternoon! There’s no better place to be on a snow day than in my sewing/craft studio! I’m so new to mixed media, but I’ve already been searching my home for “tools” to use thanks to you! Other mark making tools I use free or cheap: Lego pieces the blocks or plates, receipt tape rolls (empty-cashiers at any store I'm sure will give them to you), variety of shelf liners, kids foam Stamps, cut into a cheap rubber spatula, cardboard for the lines, plastic forks, old zippers, broad lace with lots of open holes that's flat not ruffled, sheetrock joint tape nonadhesive kind, onion bags (again ask a local restaurant for them), and your good old plastic shopping bags instead of plastic wrap. Free scraps of foam puzzle flooring like used for playroom or gym flooring. Some companies give sample pieces in the mail. Hope this helps somebody.

I did shaving cream paper marbling this weekend and this seems easily as much fun as that. It’s curious to me how … ah … dissatisfied one can get with commercial paper when you can use paint and make your own. A friend wants a journal in a specific colour combo and making paper seems the most efficient method. Does this mean I am now a paper snob? 🤣🤣🤣🤣💕💕💕💕

Question: Does the Rag paper tear easily? It appears to be thick, so I wasn’t sure if you could tear it or are their fibers in it? This was so fun to watch you get messy! I love making painty papers💖 Cleaning up the mess not so much lol!

I think you had lots of fun getting messy today! 😆 LOL. I was wondering about the look that would be achieved brayering through the punchinello (sequin waste). I have various sponges, both hard and soft, something from a frozen meal, and a strip of tape from hardware store that looks a bit like screen, but not nearly as fine, and Ihave both small and large bubble wrap. I just don't have surface area for allowing multiple things to dry. I'll have to have a think (and likely some rearranging) before I attempt it. TFS!
