Wonderful! I've started following the lives lately after following Karen on IG for a while. I'm based in Sweden and can get the sketchpad rice paper. I understand Usugami is something different and I'd like to tear it. Is there any chance to purchase it in Sweden or do I need to buy it abroad? Thank you!

I will have to try that spritzing of water thing. I have noticed a lot of bowing with the Nori Paste, though I do like it a lot.

Sometimes Karen recommends drying or pressing items under something heavy and flat to help your piece hold a flat shape 😊 We hope this helps!

Can the usagami be used in an ink jet printer?

I haven't tried printing with an inkjet, but like all unique papers, it is good to experiment with your particular printer. Ensure the Usugami is correctly affixed to the carrier paper and the glue is completely dry before running it through the printer. 😊

Update to our last comment: Yes you can print on Usugami with an inkjet printer! We ran it through a Canon Pixma injet printer. It was mounted to a backing sheet (we've used a glue stick on the edges of the usugami to hold it in place on the backing sheet, then carefully remove it after it prints). This was loaded singly from the top of the printer face side up. Hope this helps!

@@YasutomoArtOrigami Thank you, yes, that is helpful. I tried running it through a laser printer but it didn't go well. The paper got crinkled up and caused a jam. I'll try my inkjet next.

I would like to know how to make the small book Karen showed at the beginning of her presentation with pages folded into triangles that become a sort of envelope or pocket to hold cards, papers, etc... Thank you!
