Love the idea of mounting corals onto acrylic rods and placing them into pre drilled holes, so you can move them if need be. Great idea!

Thanks for the insights, drilling is a new idea to me, I like it and would like to try it. You mentioned that the drill bit is 1/4 inch, this sounds too small for the coral plug, how does it fit? i wish you had shown how you fit them in these holes.

In the nature most of these corals are not even close to one another so I don’t know why people would worry about trying to make their reef look natural 😅 . The only thing close to nature is planted tank with hard scape

I'm pretty sure I've seen dense coral reefs in the wild. I think freshwater aquascapes are trying to create atmosphere, sublimeness, depth, like a scene with narrative almost. it's not just a showcase of plants and fish like many reef tanks are a showcase of fish & corals. Composition is very important, where is the eye lead, and what does that suggest etc etc. It's not just about growing the prettiest corals. I definitely think there's the potential for reefers to scape like this, can't wait to see.
