***UPDATE*** I NEEDED TO EDIT A MEASUREMENT IN THE VIDEO BUT IT'S JUMPED PAST IT COMPLETELY! WITH THE 11" x 3.3/4 PIECE OF CARD, ALONG THE 11" SIDE SCORE AT 5.1/2 RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE. ALSO FOR THE MECHANISM PIECE YOU JUST REPEAT THE MARKERS ON BOTH SIDES. EVERYTHING IS ALL WROTE DOWN IN MY BLOG AS NORMAL. 😁

Will have to give your card a try Sam. I have tried others and even have a die for it but there are pieces you have to add to extend and I don't like it. You have made it look so easy. Thank you. All the best to you and your husband in 2020.

10-05-20: GREAT GOOGA-MOOGA, Sam, this tutorial and project was the absolute BOMB!! Not only did I thoroughly enjoy it, but I have made 4 so far, 3 of which I used pictures of the individuals and one was Biblical themed, so giving it that personalized touch, they're going to be floored when they see them. I had so much fun making them and I'm not nearly done. Guess what my friends are getting this year for X-mas, shhh... TFS!

Another great card. I did try someone else’s card tutorial for this which didn’t work that well and poked out at the bottom of the card. You have this way of simplifying ideas and this looks sooo much easier. Thank you Sam. Definitely doing this again in the new year. Happy New Year to you and all your subscribers and looking forward all the great tutorials you have for us 🎉 xx

Hello Sam, hope you've had a super Christmas and Boxing Day with the family. This is brilliant and perfect for my Sister-in-Law's 70th birthday in March. I've been wondering what Oomph card I can do, and now I know. As BDBG 45 has said this is from Papercraft Essentials and it's by Apple Blossom. xx

I've tried to make this card both from your tutorial and others and still can't stop the mechanism from sticking. Can you help at all?
@trevanji11 ай бұрын
I hear you!! I had the same problem with mine and eventually I cut off at an angle some cardstock where it was sticking. This created an unusual look to two of the four panels which "explode" at you when opened :-). However, I received one as a swap and not the same problem, so although I have watched many (at least a dozen) I can't pinpoint the problem area.

There are many other tutorials on this twist and pop card by other crafters. Sam is brilliant and wonderful, but there are other examples of this style of card. At least this will address your issue of the dark cardstock. I usually watch quite a few tutorials and I learn something new every time :-). Good luck.

Great card but goodness knows where I'm going wrong - my corners won't stay stuck down, they rip my card and for the life of me I can't get it straight, mine is wonky! I've tried 3 times now and each one is the same. Think I'll have to give up on this one unless anyone can offer any advice.
@trevanji11 ай бұрын
Not easy are they despite our best efforts :-). I personally am moving onto other type cards :-).
