I have a young granddaughter who will be 12 in March. Her fave colors this year are black and gold. I made this card using heavy black cardstock. The face of the card is layered with white and then a piece of butterfly-embossed gold foil cardstock. I also die cut a few intricate butterflies to flutter across it and the diamond shaped greeting "Don't Ever Be Afraid To Fly" was stamped in black on a white background and matted onto a black background. The inside was also black with the happy birthday in gold, but the butterflies were all taken from the net and are pictures of actual butterflies in all different colors so they really pop off the paper. The back has a white piece of cardstock for notes and signatures and is also adorned with an intricate black butterfly. It is really striking. Hope you can envision it. Absolutely adored these cards Sam. Such a fluttery delight to open and find all those flutterby's (as my little sister used to call them) on the inside. Really joyful and I bet who ever is lucky enough to receive one of those, will smile and be very happy. Now you ask which we prefer. I'm drawn to the Turquoise closely by the purple. Hardly a gap between. Hay, but I'd not complain at any. 😂xxx Haha you can't blame a girl for trying. 😉

These are beautiful, Sam! I love them all, but I think the purple is my favorite. I've heard from other crafters that if your Nuvo drops are thick, warming them up may help. Some people put the bottle in their bra 😂 others put it under their leg while they're creating the card. Thank you for doing the tutorial again, I missed your live the day you did this.
