I live in South Africa where “Bantu” means people (in the Nguni languages) here so we didn’t call them that until American popular culture filtered into our social media etc. I grew up calling the Pom-poms or amabhola (the second term literally just means balls lol).. Your journey is lovely to watch

The Bantu knots were known as Scary Spice hair when I was a kid 😂 my hair is a few inches shorter than yours but I feel like I could rock them and the bangs were adorable 🦄

i have officially been loc’d up for 10 weeks now. Thanks boo! And I got them on Etsy but the vendor I used doesn’t seem to have them anymore and I haven’t been able to find the right size since with anyone 😭 hence why I have very few in right now (I can’t replace them as they fall out over time). If I find more that are the right size I’ll let y’all know in a video! ❤️
