memphis_ I don't want another fight as bullshit as Ultra Necrozma EVER AGAIN, the fight is shit and expects too much from the player (how the fuck am I supposed to know that I'll be facing a level 60 just after fighting a level 50 and not face another level 60 until the final battle of the main game), this fight may have great buildup and music but none of that masks how shit the actual fight is. Unless they make that fight actually fair I'll be pissed of that they copied one of the WORST parts of US/UM into the next games.

You DO realise you'd run into curbstomps like these ALL THE TIME in normal RPGs? The whole role of the fight is to give a rewarding feeling of perseverance when you win. You actually BOTHER to level grind your team, you'll win a lot easier. I recommend not playing RPGs in general if you get salty over one purposely difficult boss.

I like how it refers to it as "the wild Necrozma" in your last battle. It's not the destroyer of worlds it was in your previous fights, it's weak and helpless now; it's just another wild Pokemon for you to catch. That's also why it has a guaranteed catch rate: it knows it can't beat you or escape from you, so it doesn't bother resisting.

The trouble is, your options for Steel types in Alola are: -Magnezone, who can't put up all that great a return offense with its STABs -Alolan Dugtrio, which is just as hilariously frail as it's Kanto counterpart with 30/60/70 bulk -Bastiodon, whose rock typing renders Smart Strike neutral and suffers even worse than Magnezone from the "absolute pittance of return offense" issue -Probopass, which is just a slightly less defensively minmaxed Bastiodon, -Forretress, which is neutral to Power Gem and has 75/60 special bulk -Skarmory, who is in the same boat as Forretress but with 65/70 special bulk and worse return offense stats -Metagross, which can actually take Neccy in a straight fight but has a catch rate of an older-Gen legendary Pokémon (3/255) and is only available in the stage that knows Take Down and nothing else -Togedemaru, which is just a worse physical Magnezone -Klefki, which is neutral to Smart Strike but can at least try to pull a fast one with Prankster -Alolan Sandslash, slow, neutral to Power Gem with 75/65 special bulk -Bisharp, one of the few good options with a potent Sucker Punch that won't fail and being immune to Photon Geyser, but it's special bulk still kind of sucks -Scizor is not obtainable until postgame -Neither is Lucario but it's still neutral to and thus food for Photon Geyser anyway -Celesteela is neutral to power gem but has solid special bulk and half decent offenses...but is exclusive to Ultra Moon -Kartana can't take a hit from a wet paper bag -Stakataka is postgame only AND UM only anyway -Does the QR code thing actually give you Magearna in Ultra? Though given it's an event Pokemon you might have obedience to contend with. Literally less than half of the Pokémon with the objectively best type to face this boss with are actually all that useful in a straight fight with the fucker, and of those, maybe one or two can actually _win_ that fight. And of _those,_ one is an event Pokemon who might not obey you if you level it above Neccy and the other has the lowest catch rate in the game.

The most epic thing happened to me when i was fighting UN (Ultra Necrozma). He had OHKO'd my entire team, then i realized i had traded a pokemon for solgaleo (I was on UM btw). When i came back, the lvl 65 Solgaleo had taken it out by itself, as its way of showing vengance for taking advantage of another legendary pokemon. Also nice dusk lycanroc.

Ultra Necrozma was a really easy fight. I trolled it by using a Zoroark disguised as a Crabrawler, so it thought Photon Geyser would be super-effective and kept spamming it, but it wasn't doing anything. I killed him with 3 punishments X,D
