Nice video! I'm trying to film myself playing my keyboard in the midnight hour where I can hear it only. I'm having trouble with the right connection from my mixer as to getting a clean stereo sound into my cam. So you come out of your 'send, RCA record or headphone' plug? Thx

Can you also input other channels into your output from the board into the cam in stereo for multiple effects? Does the cam record in mp4 or can it save audio in wav for easier editing in post and realign with video sequence

You can import 2 tracks, anyway you want as long as you have the proper connections. Analog mixers only have 2 USB outputs that are sometime only 1 stereo. Experiment and see what works ffor you.

Does adding the mic chord stop the audio from moving through the Mic to the speakers

Plugging into the camera mic input does disable the onboard camera mic.

Canon g7 x mark II does not have audio input but has usb port & HDMI port.can it be used for audio in

USB and HDMI cannot be used for Audio input. You could record your sound separately, then replace your camera audio with the external recording. You’d have to have video editing software to do this.

Deb are you familiar with video from a digital camera? Dot MTS file extension. That video will play without converting on a Windows power house , Puny Macs will not play that format unless I convert to MP4. Honest question Thank you Bill Gatez

Funny thing with my Puny Macs. THEY DONT NEED ANY CODECS. I have yet to come across a video or audio that my Mac doesn’t just know what to do with. I use several different cameras, LUMIX G7, GoPro, Zoom Q’s (which windows need codecs for), Insta360, never a problem. With the MAC software you can separate the audio from the video into my format you want. That being said I have not run across the .MTS format.

@@DebErney Like this Playing movie files on a 27" iMac with Retina 5K display is great when it's working properly, but sometimes it's not all sunshine and roses. Here is a common problem of opening and viewing MTS file in Mac computer that you might be coming across and how to fix it. You may also want to burn your quality MTS footage to a DVD or Blu-ray to enjoy on home big TV.
