Thank you. I stumbled onto the effects after much frustration. Couldn't figure out what the heck alt 3,4 meant. Manual should have just pointed me here.

What fun would it be if the manual were clearly written? 😃

Hello! Thank you so much for your tutorial, I do have a question, I have my mixer connected to my computer through the USB cable. I imagine that would work as a 2 way path for the sound to travel from the mixer to the computer and vice versa am I wrong? I ask because I can't hear anything on my headphones when I try to hear what I recorded. I have my headphones connected to the mixer, pressed down the USB red button by the control room/headphone volume knob but there is no signal coming in. any advise? I really appreciate it in advance.

Where is the best to connect for karaoke Main Out or Control room. Tnx
@DebErney2 жыл бұрын
Try them both and see what you like better. Main is usually a bit “hotter” with more control over sound.

Thanks Deb. Are you able to send Main & Alt3-4 to USB independently so that they come through as 2 USB devices to your PC?
@DebErney3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure but I don’t think so though Behringer does offer larger mixers with separate track outputs.

@@DebErney Thanks Deb. Yes, the Behringer X32 does exactly what I want... ... but costs way more than a hobbyist like myself should spend. I appreciate your response. Thanks!

Deb, you are doing great job, explaining what is somehow...not so logical. I have qx1204usb, and when I have everything going through main mix (with FXs on each channel) when I press mute on channel, I can still hear its reverb. So muting seems to mute the dry signal, but the effect of that source is still audible in the mix. Amy way to avoid it?
@DebErney4 жыл бұрын
If your reverb and gain is set high it may bleed through. I would try different output (to 3/4 or aux). I would try setting the gain lower. I find that a good gain for most mixers is around 1:00.
@didgeridoojedi4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for reply, but it is not bleeding. It is as if when I press mute/alt3-4 the "dry" sound is sent to alt 3-4 but the effects of those muted channels keep reverbing/echoing on master. Same, when I downpress the the effect button (the most right, above the level LEDs) then all effects go to alt3-4 - leaving master with only dry signal of instruments that are "unmuted". Very confusing...but so illogical that it cannot be a feature, because it would be completely pointless.

I notice that yesterday what u can do is mute the channel also take down the volume slider rite down

How can I patch the built in effects to Aux 1?
@DebErney4 жыл бұрын
Page 6 for the Behringer shows you the different settings. Truthfully I have no idea.

@@DebErney this is what I found but quite honestly I'm new to the whole mixing scene so a lot of the lingo confuses me. What I'm having trouble understanding here is whether it's talking about external effects or built in. "STEREO AUX RETURN 1 STEREO AUX RETURN 1 is a stereo control which determines the level of the signal in the main mix. If STEREO AUX RETURN 1 is used as effects return, you can add the effects signal to any “dry” channel signal. ◊ In this instance, the effects device should be set at 100% effect. STEREO AUX RETURN MON The STEREO AUX RETURN MON control has a special function: it can be used to add an effect to a monitor mix. For example: MONITOR MIX WITH EFFECT In this instance, the effects device should be set up as follows: AUX SEND 2 is connected to the L/Mono input of your effects device, while its outputs are connected to STEREO AUX RETURN 1. Connect the amplifier of your monitor system to AUX SEND 1. The AUX SEND 1 master control determines the volume of the monitor mix. You can now use the STEREO AUX RETURN MON control to adjust the level of the effects signal routed to the monitor mix."

Make sure you don’t have them turned off. There is a post and pre button for the effects. Then make sure the effects volume is turned up.
