Awesome content! This has really helped me focus my bass in my mixes. A video of how you go about mixing high gain guitars would be awesome.

Is the bass DI a real bass or a plugin? I LOVE the sound of it.
@SystematicProductions6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jonathan, it's a virtual instrument we developed called the 'Eurobass'. You can find it here: www.submissionbass.com

I bet, that preamp in that euro is not a Tonepump. Aguilar maybe? :-) Sounds great btw!

Is this LIVE bass or a virtual instrument? because it very much sounds like the latter, if so, life is so much simpler mixing with an "overly consistent" note attack etc, no fret buzz to worry about etc that the plugin offers. So IMO although this gives great tips (it really does), however the transfer of skills to reign a real player, using say a 5-string is vastly different. In short it sounds harsh but these videos sometimes only serve to cause frustration as those wanting to mix and get the same great results in the way it's presented. Sharing of information is great, but at the same time a level of transparency helps
@SystematicProductions6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! Please check 21:05 for the aforementioned transparency.

don't you think the entire perception of the video would change if that disclaimer was at least in the description, title, at the front of the video? being nigh on 35seconds from the end as part of the conclusion/sales pitch? Best of luck with the VSTi btw, might I suggest some more "note off" articulation, as that was the bit which really gave it away for me, when stopping the notes and when moving strings
@SystematicProductions6 жыл бұрын
It's in the title of the video. Thank you for the well-wishes, and for watching!
