Been open feeding bees for a month just started my internal heavy syrup, We are making Winter nests atm. Nice little pump, I wish HillCo used more maniacal controls and less electronic, electronic tends to not like getting wet.

Oh Love me some RocketFuel worked wonders for me, simple and to the point. I spent a year watching Ian use it and listened to the science behind it, Apis is a great product in my opinion. Thanks for a great video Kamon, Blessed Days...

There's a lot of weasels out there alright. I use Ceracell products because it's a New Zealand company and they don't sell rubbish and a couple of other bee supply stores, one in Otago and one in motueka at the top of the south island. Finding good local producers of equipment that stand behind their stuff is critical 👍😃 spring took a nap and winter crashed the land of bagend like a bunch of dwarfs invited by a wizard and dumped three inches of snow on us from Antarctica just in case we forgot it was there, and I just did hive reversals😬🤦 because the previous ten days were 18 Celsius and cloudless (64 Fahrenheit) and it was supposed to just be a little rain down here 🥶 pollen sub and extra syrup is in for the spring building so hopefully it won't be a disaster 😬😂👋

I made the mistake of buying a honey extractor from Vevor. It arrived damaged, and dealing with their customer service was very annoying.
@dcsblessedbees2 ай бұрын
Oh ya I'm not a fan of Vevor, I hear some people like their stuff. I'd rather buy quality.

I've been thinking about getting that rocket fuel but thought I was being an idiot and that I should use it for spring but it seemed like the one was designed for fall but it said to do both in the spring time so now I'm confused.
@kamonreynolds2 ай бұрын
I use it whenever there is a lot of stress. Coming out of winter, and going into fall.

You need strain relief for that electrical cord otherwise the ends might pull out of the terminals potentially arcing out and causing a world of problems.

Somebody should start making them with small hydraulic oil pumps.. 3 -10L ones. There's no rubber just an o ring. Everything else is inox.. easley adapted to what you have there. It has two inox impellers rotating inside. Most mechanics know what I'm talking about.
@dcsblessedbees2 ай бұрын
I use an oil pump but they are larger like you mention and kind of loud. It's nice to not worry abut thick syrup.

@@dcsblessedbees l think it would have no problem moving half crystallized honey with the right size pulleys.. or some clutch that already has it.. (sorry it's not easy talking mechanics in a different language). You probably know what I'm talking... rotation. Something heavy on top of the honey in the barrel to push it down and the pump on the bottom... I already have something similar l made for moving olive pulp mixed with a bit of water in olive oil production. Just bigger

8:24 i bought a product from another country. Anyway things went south. Could not get any help. I will try to buy American. Regarding the pump. What is the company of origin?
@kamonreynolds2 ай бұрын
HillCo sells them and some of the pump is made in the USA and some China. The great thing with HillCo is they stand behind all their products and they can be gotten a hold of.
