Another great SAGE video! One question - instead of using m/s EQ to make bass mono can you use the Gain plugin in Logic and select mono? Won't that ensure the bass is mono w/o phase cancellation? Thanks!

You could, but then you’d lose any side information in the higher frequencies. For example, synth basses can be a little wider and if you mono the whole thing you could be taking away some of its character. You should do whatever sounds best to you though of course

@@EthanHarmKZbin likewise just sweeping the ms to cut away lows in the sidechannel, you are losing info above 30 hz. i dont recommend this as it oftentimes destroys the original sound. there are better tools for this like mongoose 2 by boz digital labs, which lets you set bands and mono/widen them individually.

I listened to my mix and master in 2 different cars along side my refferance tracks all good.. Then listened in a 3rd car with all bass treble set to 0 and started to clip and break up at higher volume so did the refferance track.. It was fold by bonobo refferance that is a loud master.. Is this normal..?

Sounds like it's the car's speakers if most tracks that you're running through it are causing it to distort/break up.

Hello there, i hope that maybe u can help me out with something. I own zeta multymedia system version android 12 in my car. In the previous versions of the multymedia systems headunits, the blutooth app was playimg through all the other multymedia system apps sounds. For example, i could play the youtube app in the multymedia system headunit, and play the waze app in my phone ( the blutooth app is on of course ), and then when the waze app had any directions like "turn right or left", the sound of the blutooth app could break through the sound of the song sound playing in the youtube app in the multymedia system headunit, and i could hear the directions of the waze app playing in my phone with blutooth app, and both sounds of youtube in my headunit and waze in my phone with blutooth was working simoltanisly ( i blelive that then the youtube sound was lowered but thr point is that i could hear the blutooth sound and waze directions ). Now, in this version of the zeta headunit, it's like that there is some kind of blocking when the youtube app is on in my multymedia headunit, and the blutooth sound can't break the the youtube app playing in multymedua system headunit and i can't hear the waze directions playing in phone app through blutooth. Now, when i reverse the apps and play the waze app in my multymedia headunit and play the youtube app in my phone the sound of the youtube app playing through blutooth DOES ABLE TO BREAK THROUGH THE SOUND OT THE WAZE APP PLAYING IN MY HEADUNIT, so maybe it's all matter of sound settings. Can u tell me whIch sound settings ( mixing sounds settings maybe ) should i change in my multymedia zeta system headunit for that to happen and i can hear the blutooth sound can break through the youtube sound paying in the mutymedia zeta system

this dude used over 500 worth of plug ins. no way. there has to be a free fl studio plugin that can do it. awesome video, but spending money in 2023 for music plug ins is being debunked! i will keep searching the tube
