This dude didn't just play in bands. He played in one of the most underappreciated bands of all time. Bravo, Brad. Happy to see you still making it happen. Just hoping that those you work for truly appreciate your past. **Climbing the Walls is a classic.**

With regard to the guy behind the drum kit in this band you're gonna need a FOH guy that knows his stuff!:-)

I didn't expect to be getting tips on mixing live with Waves plugins from a three-dimensional man such as Brad Divens today, for sure! This is a real treat, man. I got turned on to them when they played between Annihilator and Testament at the South Hills Theater in Pittsburgh. Immediately blew me away, a great performance. Learned most of their songs and Souls at Zero too, on the guitar. My friends and I dug the SHIT outta Wrathchild America and Souls at Zero. Then I found out I had been listening to him playing the guitar on Kix's 'Cool Kids' album, ha! I remember meeting him backstage at the Metron or Metropolis or whatever it was at that time in Harrisburg when Souls at Zero played with Crowbar (and Sacred Reich?) and it was just so cool to meet him. I remember telling him how much I loved the new Souls at Zero shit, and he was like, "This is really us, who we are...it's from the heart." So good, and original, then and now, both bands they did, they had an ineffable knack for original, unique songwriting, as a group of musicians who wrote together. 5 things you gotta check out about this guy: Wrathchild America's 'Climbin the Walls' and '3-D,' and Souls at Zero: self-titled, 'A Taste for the Perverse,' and the 'Six-t-Six' EP. YES!

If not for the name Brad Divens in the title, you'd think this was Glenn Fricker! "Mixing garbage bands live!"

Amazingly complex process for a live mix, just like a record. You should check out Linkin Park's soundguy too, he's even crazier. Their live shows come out mixed and mastered in real time for the crowd.

You seem to have some interlace problems with your output. Very interesting video though.

What's he referring to when he says having a "pod" on instruments? For instance, he mentions having a "pod" on the bass as well as a DI. I can only assume he means a microphone, but that terminology is unfamiliar to me.
@gavmurray73987 жыл бұрын
line 6 pod. its a horrible early amp sim multi effects unit in the shape of a red kidney. they would be using axe fx or kempler now
@rockboy3607 жыл бұрын
Gavin Murray there are some better PODs now, like the HD series, which I think they use now.
