This was so very helpful to me. I had no idea you could mix violet with green and get such a wonderful mixture. The orange helped me a lot because I'm looking for a mossy green, sort of like swampy green. Thank you again.

I have found the advice to mix white or yellow with ivory black to make a green I can use way more than the bad tube greens.

Excellent exercise in color matching. May I recommend viewing your work in different light sources. If you're painting under a single light source say in your basement. Take it up and look at it under daylight. Especially if you are mixing complementary colors like green and red. You may be surprised (maybe unpleasantly) at your result
