hi chef...I've always been more inclined towards the creaming method..maybe because it's more traditional..but now i want to make the same recipe of cake using this one stage method...what can i expect by using this method?

Unfortunately you can't just switch methods using the same recipe. You may not like the resulting baked good. What I recommend is looking for a recipe that uses the method you wish to try. For example, a carrot cake recipe typically uses the One Stage method. And you know this because the recipe will use a liquid fat like oil or melted butter. Also many chocolate cake recipes do as well, especially the ones that have a lot of liquid like water or brewed coffee in them. A fun fact I learned is a chocolate cake made with the One Stage method will be moister than one using the Creaming method. Try it!!! Thanks so much for reaching out!!!
