This is so inspiring. The song writing the arrangements, the vocals. This is pure beauty. CONGRATS!

Wow! This is so inspiring 🙌. Thank you so very much for sharing these videos with us. The way you are controlling the levels it's like a performance in Itself.

Thanks! stay tuned for the big one we have coming.. a full PortaStudio video of our album, similar to this video but much more in-depth. it shows every tape and instrument/vocal performance on the album. Its my main focus right now to finally get it done, before I move on to writing/recording the next album. It was delayed because we went on tour and were really busy, but we're home now 😁

Beautiful composition :D and also pristine sound quality for a cassette recorder! I personally own a 424 but I really envy your eight track capability..

Thanks! 😄 The 488 is a great recorder! But as you can see, we even doubled up some tracks sometimes, such as the acoustic guitar to get that 4 track fidelity of certain sounds

How do you mix on that thing? I hear reverb, is that on the input?
@bucksmoonlightrevival2 жыл бұрын
Good question! Actually yes we like to record our FX during the performance, that way the entire final product has hit the tape. I like that sound much more than adding them afterwards. we're making a bunch of videos that will explain all these things we did in the album

What tapes are you using ? Are they the newer ferric type iis or classic chromes ?
@bucksmoonlightrevival2 жыл бұрын
Don't remember exactly but they're new type 2 tapes from duplication.ca it's what the 488 is designed to use. We're making a bunch of videos about how we made this album and one will be about different types of tape and how they sound ☺️

bad tape used is the very first impression you get.
