My favorite thing to do is vintage shopping or Facebook Marketplace. I am proud of how I’ve personalized my home and it doesn’t look like anyone else’s. My utensil crock has a mix of everything from wood to silicon to marble and my cutting boards are all different. I especially love baskets & pots and metallics as well. Loved this one! I mean I love them all but this one was especially relatable! ❤

One of my favorite videos yet. I love mixing vintage with new items. Don’t forget about flea markets as they tend to be cheaper than antique stores. For example, the brass mortar and pestle that you found for $75, I found that one and a smaller one and bought for $10 at a local flea market. They’re one of my favorite finds to date. What I’ve noticed on Pinterest and other sites is when you search mixing modern and vintage they typically show you a home that is dripping with wall mouldings, marble fireplaces and ceiling medallions. Then they talk about how to add modern pieces to the mix. What you rarely see is a modern home, like you and I have, and adding vintage pieces to create a personalized and curated home. Good for you. I do buy from Target, Pottery Barn and Mcgee Studio, and Amber Interiors. But I do estate sales, antique stores, and thrift stores. I have found beautiful things through the years. I've had an Ebay store for many years and been a collector of books, oil paintings, pottery, and whatever I can mix with my decor. I do buy pottery barn and target pillow covers. I am a maxmalist, but it is very well organized, not overdone.

Sorry, one more thing, what about adding crystal or good glass to your decor, maybe, 1or 2 pieces, it adds light. Antique brillant cut crystal, Waterford, Bacarrat. I find a lot of this at thrift stores. Prices are really down right now. You can find beautiful pieces for really any type of decor. Goes well with most anything.

Finding things like equestrian that resonates with my passions. Regarding your comment on crystal... I am totally up for it. I think it comes down to finding the right pieces that call my name. I always see so much when I am antiquing. The quality is like nothing we have today... shoot everything is better quality then compared to now! 😂

Mixing is an art that includes a lot of heart, feeling, style, and many many more. You know how to play it all, Hannah! Vintage, old, and weathered has that mysterious story behind it that makes those pieces indisputably unique. It separates your space from a store display to something more personal. Again you make it look easy but it's definitely NO. For me is like evolving into something bigger and that's exactly what you are doing, and you are going fast!!!!!! Here we go to another video to save to have close for when looking for ideas, or planning on buying antiques. The best part is that you not only refer to individual pieces but as a component to add to a collection or simply to complete a section of your house. Hi Hannah! I absolutely love mixing old with new! I inherited some of my Mom's home decor when she passed and I love having little pieces of her sprinkled around my home. I have 4 favorite Thrift Stores I go to on a regular basis. One is called Helping the Orphans and the proceeds go to helping children in orphanages. And I also go to one whose proceeds go to lower income people who have issues paying for their medication. My Goodwill never has anything in it and it is so overpriced! Thanks for sharing 🥰💖

Perfect timing. Homework done, dinner done, enjoying my latte infront of my fireplace on this rainy chilly day. Hannah I love all your videos, but I must admit this is my favourite. I’ve been mixing family antiques in my home for years now. When my parents immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1957 my mom brought everything back. Now in their 90’s they don’t use any of it, so my mom asked if I would like to mix with my decor. I have her first china set that I mixed with my pottery barn plates ( but hers are only for decor) love my older Italian vases, cake bowls and espresso machines. They don’t make them like they used to. These pieces bring conversation in the home but most of all fill the home with extra love which is most important. Thanks for another great video.

This is amazing!!!! Talk about history. Now see, all those items have a story and have been somewhere. The coolest part is that they were your family’s…. And now you get to enjoy them. This was just a fabulous video! You are so correct about the uniqueness of adding newer items with older items. It’s also nice to know that the old pieces that you acquire have a history and a story to tell. I went vintage shopping for the first time last weekend and I absolutely loved it. I came home with a small pewter vessel from Holland, a set of copper silverware/serving pieces, some old pottery, and a stunning brass candlestick. You just can’t find that kind of stuff at Hobby Lobby or Target and I love both of those stores. 🥰

You are 100% right. And as people buy these one of a kind finds... it will set each others homes apart. I think we need more of that uniqueness right now. Because in my opinion, I I feel like everyones home feels the same. I can see this desire to antique becoming more popular (even though its been around for decades). I think just like anything, sometimes we are all about one thing over another. I think antiquing and finding unique finds are definitely what more people are looking for even from a consumer standpoint. Loved this video!! The past few months, my daughter and I have been doing Thrifty Tuesdays and finding some really good stuff!! She’s only 4 but has really begun to enjoy it and often times finds a gem when I strike out lol!
