Mixing Renesans Intense watercolors

Hello sweet friends! In today's video, I attempt to mix the Renesans Intense watercolors I shared with you in my previous video 😊 There are some binder mishaps, but we do get there eventually, haha! 🙈😹

I'm so glad that you talked about mixing with black pigments! I always feel like black pigments have an undeserved reputation. Certainly they can be dull and flat on their own, but they can also be very interesting mixers and/or have unique textural properties. The deep and jewel tone colors you mixed here are lovely!

My guilty pleasure is black watercolors. I collect them and have several all-black palettes. They are all different and have diverse characteristics, and of course, they are so much fun to use in monochrome paintings. Or adding a single other color for accent. I hope your treatments went well!

Thank you for sharing all the mixes. 😊 if youre interested? You could pour the whole tube into a shallow, small bowl to mix evenly, pour into pans, and then use a spatula to retrieve every last bit. Have fun and treat yourself to all sorts of life's little luxuries. ❤

Beautiful mixes, dear Lily 😊 I would have to label them so that I could remember what I used to make them. Please contact the manufacturer about those unusable tubes - paints are far too expensive (and beautiful!) to just let that go. It's a gorgeous set of colours, thanks so much for this lovely video. Let us know if you put the paints with binder issues into pans. I recommend using full pans but not filling them and then mixing with tooth picks. I have two honey-based brands in tubes and if they sit too long the binder separates. So don't give up just yet. 😆

It’s a shame the green colour had binder issues, you could’ve made some wonderful green mixes. Maybe you could contact the company and see if they are aware of the binder issues. They might ship you new tubes of colour.
