Mixing Resin & Colors - How to Mix Resin Colors - Mixing Resin With Pigment

Here is a simple video on mixing and coloring your resin. In this video, I used Mixed Media Girl Artist Resin, Polycolor Mica, and Alumilite Resin Dye. You can also color your resin with pastes, glitters, and a number of other things. A good rule of thumb is to only add about 10-15% of whatever colorant you're using in ratio to your resin, but you can also add less.

Thank you for this video! When working with chameleon mica powder and not using a mold, does mixing it directly with the resin still give it a good iridescent effect as intended?

Is it really strong? For pigments I mixed with glue for hagiography is not as strong as acrylic, it discolors when you rub it....

Epoxy hardens fast just after mixing with mica powders and metallic color and unable to work for a kitchen counter top for about 32 sft.? Outside temp. was below 72F. 1:1 (0.5gal) : (0.5gal) mixed separately before mixing with colors separately in a small cups. After researching it's noticed exothermic reaction ... *Timer *Volume *Temperature. What is your advice to avoid the fast hardening when mixing with colors? 🙏
