I have to agree with Leonell on this. You have one of the best studio one tutorials I've seen ever. You do an excellent job with showing what to use but you should explain the uses of all the effects plugins in studio one stock library. Some people are gifted at talking and explaining stuff and you are one of those people my friend. I just subscribed bro. Good job!

As for the vaccine, don’t risk it. Almost Every vaccine you had in the past has been tested appropriately and perfected so that it wouldn’t have any adverse effects. But the mRNA vaccines are experimental. Many animals died in the trials for it. Not to mention there is no long term data on these newly released vaccines so there is no telling what could happen to you. You’re okay, you will live without this.

Such a great instructor! Right to the point yet explains everything so thoroughly. Everyone should start using stock plugins until they completely understand each function then began picking higher end plugins.

Perfectly said Joey. The more you understand how to use your stock plugins, the more you can actually get accomplished. Studio one has really good effects that are cpu friendly.

I use the Studio One stock plugins as much as I can to do the basic stuff while composing. Like high and low pass filtering, basic delays and guitar amping. Redlight is also a great distortion. The stock plugins are optimised to be super light on your CPU, so in the songwriting stage when you have a bunch of CPU heavy virtual instruments open it is more beneficial to use the stock plugins when you can. But when I'm mixing I prefer to use the Console 1 and my more 'high end' plugins. But I still use the ProEQ for high and low pass filtering. Also I have the ProEQ, Fat Channel, Mixtool and Analog Delay mapped to my MidiFighter Twister. So they become a natural part of my workflow.

Matty, this was really a great tutorial, huge thank you! I’ve had Studio One since it was originally released and I only really understand about 10% of what it will really do. I’ve also heard everyone, it seems, say that you need plug ins from other companies. I’ve hardly ever even looked at the stock plugs. You have done something here that I truly respect, something that even Presonus it seems doesn’t do... You’ve shown me how to constructively use some of my software! I for one really appreciate it. Might be a dumb question, but why put the reverb and chorus in the sends rather than in the inserts?
@TheeRocker3 жыл бұрын
a few reasons, options,,, Less CPU, as many tracks can ride the buss of the effect. That buss keeps the intent of effects timing and quality and keeps same feel for all tracks added. Example I can think of is much of Def Lepards effects that encompass pretty much all of the tracks at times. There are other examples, I'm just tired, lol. Had to answer since not one soul replied after 2 yrs of your post lol. Think of it as a sort of glue for some things. Keeps things harmonious. :D

If I’m understanding your question correctly, you’ll just need to wear headphones (most if not all audio interfaces have headphone outputs) while recording the vocals
@TheeRocker3 жыл бұрын
Use Closed-Back Headphones. Preferably with good isolation value. Some claim 36db bleed reduction.. that's pert'near silent lol. Beredynamics 770 closedback headphones for example. Their 990 models are the open-back headphones good for mixing mastering... Also if you're using isolating headphone already, possible, you need to turn it down a bit lol...
