Mastering can not save a bad mix. But it can improve a great mix 💪🏻

Kyle, I've been watching a couple of your videos today (for like the last hour) and let me express how big of a fan I am already. I really hope you get a lot more attention because you deserve it. These are BY FAR the most professional, insightful and to-the-point videos I've seen in the platform (and there are a lot of great people in here). I will recommend your channel and wish you all the success.

Someone once said to me mixing and mastering are like a BMW - Lambo. Mastering can take the track from a BMW to Lambo, but at the end of the day it all depends on the driver. If you got good quality music, it should sound good at both the mixing and mastering stages and in my opinion when you first start out there is a beauty to having raw productions. If you got a bad driver or bad music in general, mastering aint gonna save you. Remember don't be worrying about the colour your car when it really is the engine that matters!!!!!!

It's incredible, how digital mastering can improve the quality of the sound. For example Boney M has a extremely pure sound. Although recorded way back..

Mastering is good when there is balanced bass-treble and when there is high end in mixing. It's a pity that new commercial best selling albums have no highs, for example Taylor Swift and Post Malone are mixed with only bass and also with clipping/distortion/overcompression. Even these vinyls that they are very expensive have very awful sound.

What would you like to learn in a one-on-one class?
@sahilkapoorofficial3 жыл бұрын
@@AudioUniversity wanna learn to Mixing & Mastering and processing too. I am so confused . I am taking music production classes but the way they are teaching about mixing or processing sounds using Eq , compressor and time based effects. It just complicated all these in my head. I need a good instructor like you
