Sounds great, I have all the unison plugs and this is my fav. I have worked on the real desk and this feels real close (as far as I remember)

Rusty Warren Thanks Rusty, I worked on the 88RS for years and it definitely has captured the character of the original console. I would love to see a company do multiple channel emulations so that each one is the slightest bit different, just like the real thing. Waves does this with the NLS but so far nobody has gone there with a channel strip emulation. I would also love to see UA do center section and buss summing emulations to go along with the channel strip. Cheers! Mike

Doctor McFarland Studios Late answer. No they sound very different. The 88RS is much cleaner while the 1073 has that retro 70s sound. I prefer the 88RS personally, but they both sound great.

How do you compared this vs brainwox bx_console?

Hi Raphael, The consoles are very similar since the 88RS is the next evolution of the VX console that is emulated by brainworx. As far as the emulations go, they are both excellent representations of the 2 consoles. I like the 88RS better as a console, but think the the brainworx emulation captures something unique with the variations between each channel. Cheers! Mike

Dilla Oniel Hi Dilla, I do not have a UA interface and so have no way of testing for the quality of the Unison Preamp. Given the quality of the rest of the plugin, I would be shocked if it didn't sound great. Cheers! Mike

You don't trace signal flow through the plugin...waves ssl channel strip plugins are not as they seem...lots of plugin reviews miss this critical point...
