Sasha is for me, still the outright master of progressive house mixing, this music is not for all ,granted. but if your into it, your deep into it, these tunes move me inside, and there's nothing else like it. it all comes down to the type of character you are, if you like it deep and moody with a little melody, and some good baselines Sash is still doin it. So,pull up along side and enjoy the vibe. as an aging raver and retired dj, Im fucking loving this sound as much as the first time I heard this man play 20 years ago ;he knows exactly what he's at. ..let them tunes roll baby : )

96 I was able to drive a car.. was first introduced to the sound. Today- I will admit that alot of my view on life is bc of Sasha and John Digweed- Set aside the glitz and the glam- They helped to really inspire a generation. before apple made it cool. Digweed made it possible for people like Timo Mass to make a name and Sand Kliend- yea the Dutch Man- but Umm all i know is that I am gratefull for the Dj's I've seen and the music. P.S. Im 16 from Canada, and my mom passed me down her electronic music taste and her rave experience in The late 90s... She showed me DJs and Producers like Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Bad Boy Bill, Kaskade, Paul Oakenfold, and many more when I was 5 years old... She also took me to my first REAL rave when I was 4 years old at iDanceRalley in Toronto. I respect the electronic music, and the history is has brought to us... I dont support the kids who go to these shows and say these shows are "raves" and barely wear clothes and shoot up drugs and yell and talk through the whole show. I appreciate what Sasha has delivered... Hes a true legend!

Back in 1994 I was visiting my cousin in Mexico City and that weekend him and his friends invited me to a Rave at an Old Abandoned Opera Theater from the 1920s, to my Surprise the DJs playing that night were non other than Sasha and John Digweed, Wow What an Unforgettable night for many reasons but the set they played got me hooked on their sound and style, their sets are Magical ! And I Still Love This Today, now 46 but next time Sasha comes to Los Angeles I'm Going !

This is an outstanding set. I had the pleasure of been introduced to underground electronic music 14 years ago. Out of which I listened to this guy and his partner in crime for around 10 at least. This is why they maintain themselves at the top of the underground progressive scene, as the quality and skills they have developed during the years, is a that of a fine, clearly musical, storytelling, sound, and engineering. Yoshitoshi7 Hehehehe. I fully agree! I "grew up" on the Global Underground Series from 1995. Tony De Wit ( rest in peace dear friend ) was my favorite, since he was a South African originally and since I sooo loved the original old-school true core techno. 1998 @ the "Mother rave" in Johannesburgh railway station I found Sasha (& Digweed of course) in front of the decks and it was 'game over' for me. Sasha has since been #1 in my books...and still is. He's not a artist or DJ or musician or whatever else - he's ALL of it and topped off with the credential of PIONEER. With the soccer world cup hosted by South Africa in 2010 he visited Cape Town and shared a glorious set @ a place called @tmosphere. I was hyped up for 2 weeks in waiting for that Friday night and to my surprise only roundabout 80-100 people showed up! The better part of me told myself earlier that morning I should write him a letter and let him know what influence he's been in my life and how his music kept me company week after week. So there I was standing on the upper deck directly in front of him with a 10m x 10m dance floor between us. I chose that spot, because all the speakers directed the sound to perfectly resonate there with crystal clarity. If Sasha would have increased the volume it would have been too loud and if he would have turned it down it would have lost its "ohmf" - the one and only, first and the last time that my clothes LITERALLY danced on my skin from the resonant vibration. I was speechless in having the perfect moment of endless eternity. There and then I was complete, in it, with it...nothing could touch me there and then. I felt truly free for the first time in my life. Later on I walked across the almost empty dance floor and shook his hand. Obviously I wanted to talk to him, but he was busy. As I was walking away I imagined what his experience was. He just might have thought by himself that I might be this lowly good-for-nothing and unappreciative druggie who's trippin off his head and don't know great music if it hit him straight up (which I happen to have the opportunity that night and will never forget). Man, I felt sooo bad!!! There I was, meeting Sasha face-to-face. The letter would have put everything in its place....but NOOO, why should I listen to myself? My awe-struck look caused me to fail miserably in closing the chapter of greatness in my life. I hanged around to see if I could fix it. An hour after Sasha's set was done, he left with his body guards - he walked past me and I managed to just greet him. He nodded and past the side door he was gone. On my way out I told myself :"THIS IS IT. I'm done!". Since that night I never set my feet in a club again - honest. No need to ever go to a place and stand around there missing this perfect night I so uniquely fucked up. SASHA is unique and I personally think that nobody will get it right in matching his expression in taking anyone on a sensory experience into a place you just can NOT explain using any language that exist. Here's to the world's greatest SASHA !!!
