So much to unpack, Sligh Casanova raised a lot of questions. In this day and age of smoke and mirror artists it's hard to believe that an artist can do live what you see here. I have been a passionate supporter of this young lady for over five years. I am not Filipino, no ties to the Philippines( I'm from the US.) I am a sucker for extraordinary artists and Morissette is all that and more! Just to put an end to the "can she do this live "question, I have gotten on a plane and flown to see her in concert LIVE here in the US 3 times now, as recently as April. She is one of the best LIVE Vocalists out! That Mic stays on! Further, there are ,at this point, hundreds upon hundreds of uploads on this platform of her live performances spanning over 10 years! The proof is readily available ,but lets get into it 1. Is the Wish Bus Live is she Lip syncing? Are there Pre recorded Vocals? Answer: The Wish bus is a LIVE Radio show. the performance goes out live . You can hear it on the Radio live. There is no auto tune or prerecorded vocals. It's sink or swim. This song in particular ,if you played both artists performing this live side by side you'd be surprised how close they are. Sometimes our perception clouds reality when it comes to big names. That is not to disrespect Mariah (I happened to be around when Mariah came on the scene, own her cassettes , and CDs "All Ive Ever Wanted" was my Wedding song). The early producer of Mariah who also spent some time with Morissette had respect for both. Morissette has gone live with nothing but a microphone( sometimes a keyboard or guitar) in her bedroom since pandemic days singing unrehearsed requests. She is literally the last person on Earth to question her abilities as a live artist. I had the same reaction when I first watched her perform on the Wish Bus but then after watching her live stage performances I quickly changed my opinion and was sold on this phenomenal vocalist. Morissette is as real as it comes!! She has performed with quite a few international artist live on stage! Maybe you should check out her live stage performance with Jessie J when she was only 18. During that time, it was 200M views vs 95M of the original. There is no lip synching in the Philippines lol! It's ok, you are new to Mori & the world of amazing Filipino singers. This isn't even a difficult song for her. She could sing this while sleeping or hanging upside down from a tree (just kidding!). Filipino singers don't even take voice lessons. Their voice teacher is the karaoke machine. Even little kids can sing Mariah, Beyonce, Whitney & Celine easily. Check out more Morissette & other Filipino singers like Katrina Velarde, Gigi De Lana, Daryl Ong, Michael Pangilinan, Bugoy Drilon, etc. I mean there are so many. You can even check out Filipinos (not singers) who randomly sing karaoke in shopping malls. These videos have become viral but they're just really a daily occurrence over there. And of course they have to sing the most difficult songs. Check out the MY WAY killings too, they're on wikipedia. If you sing bad in the Philippines, you just might get shot & die! Ha!
