Not sure if you already know this but I think some of the profits from the soondy Centella Asiatica line are donated to some organizations that help to protect polar bears. I haven't tried any of their products yet but it's so cool that this brand takes part in activism!

does it leave a very sticky residue? I have dry skin and some texture, I've always wanted to use the cosrx snail mucin but its not vegan so I got excited when I discovered this product

Happy 2023, Ray! Did you use the bean essence as an exfoliator at all? I was curious about that aspect of it! Did you also see that Mixsoon donates a portion of their sales of any product with the cute bear on it? I thought that was great!

I haven’t! I don’t know, I feel like I don’t wanna waste the product by using it as an exfoliate and then rinsing it off 😂 I saw I saw!! And the UNA Master Serum is also a charity product! I love that they’re doing this!

About the mixsoon bean essence,i heard alot of people say that this product peels on skin or it exfoliates( removes dead skin cells which seems like the product is peeling.) Have you experienced any peeling or exfoliation effect from this?

I heard the same thing. But I can never get it to "peel" the way some people are claiming it can. My friend @jessdoesathing also said the same thing about not being able to get it to work like a peeling gel.

You mentioned that many of these products require a moisturizer right after, what product do you recommend for this?

At the time of filming, they haven’t released a moisturizer with the bean line, but now they do!!! I recommend any cream that works for your skin type. For me, I prefer a balanced oil/gel cream. I’ve been loving Round Lab’s Birch Juice Cream and the Isntree Hyaluronic Gel Cream!

Hi, can you use the bean essence together with retinol? Not one after another, but incorporating it into the routine together, if it has a similar function to retinol, do you reckon it could be rather damaging or beneficial?

Hi! I came across a dermatologist breaking down the chemical compound of the ingredients of this essence and turns out-even though the fermented soybean can give similar results as retinol, it’s not something you can use to replace retinol. Bean essence: should i use it as an essecne everyday 2x, and as an exfoliator 1-2x a week?

I personally don’t find it super helpful as an exfoliating treatment. Maybe it’s because I can’t get the product to create the gel beads. So I use this daily but mainly at night.

I'll probably keep referring back to this video as it's so informative😊 I was wondering if I could use the soondy centella Asiatica essence in place of the skin 1004 centella ampoule because it's always sold out😭 I know one is an essence and the other is an ampoule but they're both 100% centella asiatica so i was wondering if I'd still get the same benefits. Also as the bean essence is an exfoliater, would it be alright to use it every day as it's more gentle than other exfoliants?

Hiiii friend! Yeah, I see no major difference between the soondy essence and the skin1004 ampoule. 😊 please feel free to save this video for reference 🥰 The bean Essence is super gentle as an exfoliant / retinol alternative. I personally don’t worry too much about pairing it with actives.

@@rayliur Heya, sorry to bother you again but I received the essence and am confused as to which step of my skincare I should use it in if I'm using it to exfoliate (I'm a newbie to skincare😭) Would it go after the toner? Also if I'm planning on using another essence, would it go before or after?

I usually use it after my toner-or as a first step. I can’t seem to get it to work as a peeling gel like many people are able to. 😅

Hi! I would start with their soondy essence and see how your skin feels about it. Its meant to calm skin from inflammation. I also really like the master serum as mentioned in the video. Great for calming as well.

have you tried Goodal calming sunscreen? I found that is similar with rounlab birch juice sunscreen. wondering if you prefer this mixsoon or goodal or roundlab ?

It’s tough choosing between MIXSOON and Round Lab. But I’d go with Round Lab just because it’s more hydrating and keeps my skin plump longer. Both have similar thickness and smell.
