Whatabout all those intrciate short sample chops that create cool phrases that are hard to follow just by listening ? Like the stuff that SebAstian and Oizo do ? With that stuff it sounds more like sounds gating each other, sometimes in complex ways
@mollyoko4 күн бұрын
@@RedPixel4 when you add plugins you add 2 filters and degrade/distort the source material further than the convertors do with their filters. IF you are using high end convertors why would you use cheap plugins on your audio. Having said that the ppg wave is most likely 16-bit lol
@alexandermoden4 күн бұрын
@bontempo1271 that is their older sound and in the case of both Justice and Sebastian it involved heavy 2 bus compression / saturation melding everything together. Seb said he didn't even compress individual channels. The 1st wave of French Touch had a similar technique by way of 3630 bus compression. Same idea.
@mollyoko4 күн бұрын
@@alexandermoden yah that shitty alesis is all over detroit techno too. all modern music is heavily compressed, nothing new. If you use a Neve or API u get that saturation and 2 bus comp on the summing.

I'm glad we finally got to see under the hood of a Justice track. Just wish we could also get the same for a track off Cross! Genesis, Waters of Nazareth, or Stress would be amazing to see Another thing I've been dying to know is just _exactly_ how they would perform their tracks during their 2007/2008 shows. Or even in 2012/2013. _A Cross the Universe_ and _Access All Arenas_ are my favorite live albums due to how electric and punk/metal & prog rock they feel
