I like that, even though he's anti-hunting, Miyamoto-san didn't do anything to cut the hunting aspect of the game, instead supporting its inclusion with a right balance.

A vegan run sounds very feasible, since mushrooms and plants are so plentiful and varied in the game. Hell, some of the fruits give the best possible buffs you can have. Perhaps you should try and keep it fully vegan, and not even use monster parts for crafting.

I'm fine without an in-depth story but there needs to be depth to the mechanics! Sticker Star had very little depth in mechanics to justify its lack of story. Take Minecraft as an example. It has no real "story," but there's depth to the gameplay, so people keep coming back. I, for one, will likely never play Sticker Star again, because I've exhausted it for what it is. No depth. I also really hope they don't screw up Color Splash the same way.

Questions he should have asked: (1) Special items like the hookshot and the boomerang are a big part of the Zelda games, is Breath of the Wild going to feature the traditional special items? (2) Epic boss encounters are a staple of the Zelda franchise, can we expect this tradition to continue with Breath of the Wild? (3) What inspired you to finally feature voice acting in a Zelda game and can we expect to hear Link talk in Breath of the Wild? (4) What inspired you to remove rupees from the game? (5) Can you tell us where in the time line Breath of the Wild takes place in, and is the Link in Breath of the Wild the same Link from a previous game? I live in Minneapolis, maybe I should be working for Game Informer...
@CidPsy8 жыл бұрын
Lots of questions he would avoid at this point, as they only wanted to make gamers have a taste or feel the game. Others have been responded already, rupees are in the game but just like hearts you don't get them cutting grass, you need to search for items to sell to merchants. From what I can gather you can sell almost anything on the game. From weapons to food. The boss battles, during E3 we saw at least 2 monsters that could be taken as bosses, they are in the field. One was a rock thingy and the other a mobile Guardian, who Link was fighting on a horse.

A game can have a good story and a nice open world. A great example of this is Xenoblade Chronicles(original), which is made by a Nintendo-owned company. He already passed most of the responsibility for development on Zelda to Aonuma though. Miyamoto been acting more like a creative director and advisor than a full producer on most titles for years already. So Zelda seems to be in safe hands I think. Miyamoto is a legend, but Nintendo's continuous output of quality titles is largely due to a highly talented team overall, and not just because of one legend alone.

I don't think the game succeeded in all its goals. The overworld does NOT feel like a dungeon. Hunting isn't crucial to survival except in the very beginning of the game and in select quests and expansions. And there isn't a heck of a lot of drama in the gameplay, because the stakes are made to feel very low. The cutscenes don't help create a sense of drama because I feel they are a mixed bag. And there is far too much text, too much "personality" stuffed into many NPC's.
@KingCrimson82 Жыл бұрын
they missed out one opportunity, to realistically proportionize what "one animal" is in real life. animal can feed a family for at least 2 month. so getting one steak out of an animal is a little, how do i say it, counterproductive to teach the kids to be more foodconscious. and it also could have been made more traumatic, like maybe instead of puffing into a steak it could have been that you need to kill it after you made it fall. so that you dont do that often but only if in need. Because thats the "ah what ever" it just puffs away, look there a steak. But i like that miyamoto actually considers such things, i guess more than the other participenz

Zelda game will no longer be Zelda with so many changes. Changing game so much may be devastating. It will lose originality and gameplay we used to enjoy before. I hope they don't transform Zelda games into Monster Hunter, Xenoblade, Gothic or anything alike. I don't like changes where are not necessary., Zelda should be Zelda, same genre as it used to be in 1998, 2000 and maybe later too. If they want different game then they should make new game, not remodeling Zelda into something that is not Zelda anymore
