1) They're in their early 20's, they're adults. They are done with basic schooling and they seem to be able to formulate speech and socialize (even though they don't seem to want to be very social) very well. 2) This is a form of schooling. Maybe not the kind that fits your schema, but they are definitely learning and Jiu Jitsu is a life long learning experience that does not only involve learning moves, but also about respect and many many other things in life. 3) Not everyone in the world is primarily focused on making money. Some people just want to do what they love. For these young men, it's Jiu Jitsu. 4) Try to be more open minded, you'll learn a lot more in life. Not everyone is like you and that's a good thing.
