@@alaslipknot Yup! He's always played finger style that I know of, and he's got his own unique way of doing it, which is funky, groovy, and powerful.

He's a relatively popular guitarist in Japan, been at it for a good 15 years or so. Pretty interesting player, definitely worth checking out!

Pretty badass slap style guitarist. Worth looking up his stuff. He has a track along the lines of "Ready to Rock" thats a good one to get your feet wet. Also he was the Japanese soldier in King Kong with John C Reily

I have one of the MIJ modern series and 100% agree. Unlike any of the (nowadays) boring made in US. The Sound and look continue to amaze me
What an amazing Tele. Love the Sustainer on there. The one regret I have in my guitar playing life is not buying a Japan only guitar when I was living there during my time in the Air Force. かれは本当に上手^_^

Japan is pretty much one of the only (if not the only) countries in the world that can take seemingly weird stuff and make them good. Like, seriously, Fender normally wouldn't do this to their Tele. Adding a whammy bar and "complex" electronics to a Telecaster... even I used to think it's weird, but honestly, I'd ditch my Strat for this.

Miyavi's the only reason I wanted a Tele. Whenever he's not using his slap technique, he often switches from a clean tone to a distortion that doesn't sound like typical rock/metal. His distortion tone sounds like something out of a video game and no one else has a tone like that other than him.
