Border of the screen on the v3 is bigger, but the casing is about half as thick to make up for it. Makes the screen look a lot better in my opinion but it does come at the cost of durability. The screens get damaged easily when dropped on the v3 cause they don't get much protection. I keep mine in the case when I'm not using it to protect it and I mean its included so can't complain.

Great video! Thx for the info and the hands on comparison. I recently got a v3 and I love it. Funny thing, everyone was calling the v3 as the v2. This is news to me as I thought the removable battery meant v2. 😅

I have a white version 2 and tan version 3 - finally came in - however, I’m still scared to upgrade to onion OS because there are more units getting bricked. I do not like flashing to Emmc chips - these too hard to get right now, I mess up--it be an expensive one. I have bricked units before i.e. RS-97 varients - Stock on v3 works really well. Onion doesn't require updating to latest firmware anymore, from what the developers are saying on Discord. They recommend not upgrading, actually. Onion just needs some files copied to your SD card that overlay on top of the stock OS. All you have to do to get stock OS back is remove Onion from the SD card. You should not need to flash anything now. Hope that helps.

My guess is the new V3 version has a thicker battery, they made battery compartment a bit deeper so that is why they made the hole on connector to avoid stress.

There's no such thing as a v3. The v2 is sometimes called that. But no v3.

seriously considering picking up a miyoo mini specifically for a game call "threads of fate" for the playstation 1 its very nostalgic for me and i wanna know if the miyoo mini plays it also how it plays it, would i have to hook it up to my pc and download it? or would it be already in the handheld im quite new to handhelds that arent gameboys but am wanting to really get into the hobby of playing and collecting let me know :)

Hi - I have a v1, and I wander if you'd do a little test? I've been more than a littel disappointed with the headphone volume on the v1 device - it's very low. I wandered if they have revised this in the later hardware. Do you think you could do a little test to see if the v2 or v3 have improved this/you can notice a difference please? I always use headphones so this is a biggy for me. Also what is you contact for getting spare screens and buttons please - are you in contact with the Miyoo team directly? Thanks.

The speaker on ver3 is louder and better quality than ver2. Overall ver3 is the one to get. Better d-pad and face buttons feeling also.

@@kevtn8 That's very kind - but I was specifically asking about the *headphone* volume. The speaker volume was always fine. But the volume through the use of any headphones is very low and hard to enjoy on my v1 unit. That is what I was hoping had been improved in the later revisions - not the speaker. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I have four screw holes like the v1, but the middle two don't have screws in them, but the holes are there. V1.5? Buttons also feel closer to how V2 was described.

I believe I got tracked. I ordered the newer version on Amazon but got sent to order version because it has a removable battery. And also the sound doesn’t work when you go to play game.
