Bart needed to have some time alone with Nadia so he could tell her what freedom is, what are rights, and how to exercise them. Of course Panait absolutely would not allow that, Nadia was his gold mine and he wasn't going to let her out of his sight or allow her to talk to anyone that he wasn't getting money from. All the money Nadia was paid went to Panait. And, all her life, all Nadia knew was to obey. The idea that she actually had the right and freedom to tell Panait "goodbye" and walk away didn't occur to her. Fortunately, later she was able to be free of Panait's control, less the car and $150,000 she was paid for appearances. That is $500,000 in today's money, but to her the important thing is that she was finally free and not the money and car that Panait stole.

super awkward. I can only imagine how those 3 felt, but their faces are priceless. Constantin`s jealous eyes, Nadia lit up and Bart.. I can hear his heart pounding through the monitor. but I have to admit, while Bart was a gentleman, Nadia was less then classy. coming from communist Romania, her taste.. ehh. but they are very cute together ever since and hopefully also very happy. they deserve it!

Nadia originally had poor character. Lying came naturally. Probably due to coming from supressive Romania. Later she said Constantine beat her. But she was feelingless about the poor wife &indeed was romantically involved w/ Constantine. Bart Connor must have made her a much better person, whereby she transformed into being someone respectable & hopefully caring about others.
