My skin really digs snail mucin. On my face, every night, after tretinoin. I discovered it in face masks a few years ago. I knew it was a K-Beauty thing, and in the last year I picked up the CosRX Snail 92 All In One Cream. I just picked up the Snail 96 Essence. Snail mucin is super hydrating. I swear I look 10 years younger after applying it.

Hi Shelley this looks great on you - shame about the shades. Sending you a virtual hug from one grieving cat owner to another. I think I'm going to have to explore some bb creams in shades #11 and #13 (#21 is far too dark as even #13 needs a good glob of white mixer), as they seem to be performing really well. I like the Missha one I have, but your more recent trials have showed improved formulations to the more classic Missha tube. Oh well, down the rabbit hole of yesstyle and stylevana I go lol. I have rosacea and need some redness coverage, but not full coverage as I use a concealer where necessary. More medium or light/medium coverage is what I look for. My skin is super dry, so anything matte is an absolute no - EL double wear makes me look 100 lol. Best wishes.

I received my Mizon and have been playing with it. I got the same shade as you, Shelly, as we are close in skin color and tone. This is a really great product!!! It puts my in mind of the Clarins Skin Illusion foundation with some exceptions. Price is better, color match is better, it doesn't sit as heavily around my mouth and perioral wrinkles. All good! It does give similar coverage for me, I can apply it with my fingers, I can get away without concealer. It lasts about as long too. I did not get as long a wear as you did, but I use different primer, etc. I did notice that it comes off my nose onto my mask a fair bit and that when I take off my glasses, it really needs patting back into place, where my nose pieces sit. My skin really likes it. I enjoy it best if I use a few drops of my tan luxe super glow serum under my moisturizer. However, it still looks nice if I don't. I just like the finish better. I also found that powdering my nose did not help with mask transfer. I do like it a smidge better using my Becca Anti-fatigue under eye primer. It is not as good as my CT Magic foundation, but it's less expensive and less time to put on. Thank you so much for reviewing this Shelly!!! Hope my info helps someone else.

Oh wow - I can't imagine home schooling during exam year. I listen to RTE news every night and it hurts my heart to hear the number counts in Ireland, as the whole country is barely more than half of the population of the state of Virginia where I am. Our numbers are terrible but our government has also done a horrible job at managing it (where it seems Ireland has been very responsible in their advice). There's also personal responsibility - and with that, I share your frustration, as I watch friends posting large holiday gatherings and I haven't left my house or gotten out of my car to go inside of any place for months.

For purple I mix half and half Arctic Fox Purple Rain and Poseidon (blue) so that it is more of a cool-toned purple rather than a red-toned purple :)

LA Girl (CVS) has a white mixer that can take the shade down a notch and tone adjusters (blue and a dark terra cotta color). I bought a bottle of the white (for the Purito) and the blue (cool) tone adjuster (for the Loreal Age Perfect).

Lately I've been using the Mizon snail eye cream! Mostly it's super-hydration that makes them look more smooth. I can't always get my skin hydrated enough but the snail cream seems to hold moisture well!

It’s crazy, Shelly. This one is totally different for me. It’s so matte it feels powdery. I have to moisturize the heck out of my face and mix it with the Missha Perfect Cover or it stops spreading and just clings. Did I get another dud from Amazon?!

It looks great! Do you ever have trouble getting foundation on your nose ring? I am such a makeup newbie, and I'm having this problem!

I try to remember to twist the hoop outwards while I apply foundation. A little always gets on it, and I wipe it off, but then scooting it back into place usually gets rid of any remaining foundation. I make sure when I wash my face at night to wash my nose well just in case any foundation got in there, but it has never caused a problem if it has.

The Purito Cica 21 is just about the same as the snail - I heard that they're changing to completely vegan, so the snail ingredients were replaced with cica/tiger grass.

Sorry I know this video is about mizzan, but when I saw your comparison swatches that grayish undertone looks perfect for me! Hi Liz!! So far all of the Purito I've ordered from Amazon has been legit. I know sometimes Amazon has issues with counterfeits but at least with Purito I haven't had trouble. I've bought it from both Amazon and YesStyle (I usually go Amazon when I wait too long and need it fast!)

i saw in your database that you also reviewed missha in shade13- mizon used to come in only one shade and i can only find missha 13 vs the original one mizon shade... i really want to know if i could get away with this one if missha perfect cover 13 is my perfect match!

I compared Mizon bb cream with Missha bb cream and I prefer by far Missha. Missha has better consistency, better and more beautiful shade. My face looks and feel so good with Missha.

i do not like the new purito cica bb cream and never got to try the snail kind. literally ordered like the day after the lighter shades sold out...is this one just as good?

This one is a little less dewy I'd say and the undertone is more neutral but otherwise it is quite similar!

Hi Rebecca! Yes I wear sunscreen under every foundation (currently the Purito Centella Unscented), and for this review I wore the POP Beauty Afterglow Glow Primer.

Hi Lindsey! I've worn it both ways now and in terms of time primer doesn't seem to impact it. I wear primer mostly for smoothing and more even wear (for all foundations - the only times I don't wear primer are when a foundation has skin care ingredients like the snail in this one).

I'd call this one lightweight! I don't find it to be oily but I have dry skin that very rarely gets oily, so most don't on me.

If you are worried about texture have you considered starting a Tretinoin ? If you are consistent and patient with it every night you will have new skin by next year, only this time it will be skin of a 30 year old. You started to care for your skin and hydrate it why not start working on cell turnover and train your skin with Tretinoin. I been using Tretinoin for 14 years , my skin is like a child. Give it a thought

Hi Cat! Most of the Tatcha I've tried has been their makeup but I've used a few skin care products of theirs. I love literally everything I've ever tried from the brand, though it's at the top end of my price range so I don't buy all of it.

Hey Shelly how are you holding up wit the pandemic restrictions? I know your home most of the time teaching online right? Just checking, I know its hard for so many people. Im out there, in full PPE everyday but still feel alone behind it all. Its isolating all the way around. I pray its over soon.

I'm trying to see light at the end of the tunnel but it seems like we're so far behind on vaccinations that the hope of getting one myself spring-into-summer sounds like it's going to become summer-into-fall-into-winter (and if that happens, I will have a really hard time with this... I feel confident that I can hang on until summer but I will lose my S#*^ if I can't get stuck with a vaccine by then. Our numbers in my town and county are even worse than they were when the university students came back and infected everybody in August, and those numbers are basically double the worst of last spring when it all started. So I'm completely staying home or in my car now - no contact with any other humans until the numbers drop significantly or I'm vaccinated. Our positivity rate is over 20% and the next town over has 1 in every 9 people infected.

@@goow wow. I seriously have no words. It’s heartbreaking how this has affected people. Seeing families with small children loose their two family incomes due to the need for childcare that no longer exists, and the one making the most money gets to keep their job, the other quits. I have anxiety like never before, I don’t sleep anymore, constantly worrying about work and how many (other medical) things are falling through the crack due to Covid. People can’t get routine surgery or colonoscopies or dental work Unless it’s an extreme emergency. Elderly people are alone. Tween kids are raising themselves and homeschooling themselves. And the worst is people dying alone. Having to go through a sickness alone in the hospital with no family by their side. I see it and it’s so mind blowing what life looks like. So that’s why I tell you that I look forward to seeing YOU. You bring me somewhere else...... and thank you. Btw I got the vaccine and I felt totally normal.

The new mutant strain has recently arrived here in Australia so I have no doubt my State will go back into lockdown again. I heartily support the lockdowns but I have 7 kids, 4 of whom have special needs, so the last time we did lockdown sucked big time! The cabin fever was real.......
