There was a time, during my early years of gutaring, where there was a myth about guitarists from the North East..about having mystical powers and Supreme playing abilities.....and I had to see it for myself... found a bunch of guys from Nagaland, Assam and I think Manipur all studying and staying in Solapur....we jammed and -was not disappointed..... quickly found out that I had a lot to learn and develop my skills much much more...and these guys were very humble about it...showed me a lot of techniques..we had a great time....unfortunately the attitude of the rest of India towards the Northeast has resulted so many insanely talented musicians go largely un-noticed or even ignored by lesser talented people..... i was also backstage at GIR 2 in 1997 and met this band called Phoenix from Imphal...great bunch of guys, down to earth and fantastic musicians.....Love from Kerala, Rock on guys....

Brother, I haven't heard such a thing in recent years. I know that some great guitarists are there in North Eastern states of our country, but I wasn't lucky enough to listen to them. I would like to thank you Mr. Dinga Detta Chhangte to gift us such a masterpiece with an ensemble of such gifted guitarists. I wish I could buy the tickets of such a concert in a stadium and get the real feel. No regret, Man, you gave that for free, to listen to them at our place within our busy schedules.
